I have a veiled and he does the same thing. At least you can get him on your hand. I can bribe him onto my hand with food but don't trust that he wont bite. I was told over time this will get better but my question is always when???
Is it possible that he has something in his eye that is causing it to fester? When was the last shed?
Another thought is the weeping fig has sap that could have gotten into his eye.
I have been reading a lot on the forums about using Vitamin A liquid gels and putting a drop on a feeder for...
Mine has done this almost every time. I think that they are cleaner animals than we think. I make sure to clean the cup out with hot water and soap. EVERY TIME!!!
Over the past couple weeks it seems as though there have been many incidents of prolapsed intestines.
First is there one thing or many things that make a Cham more susceptible to this? Over feeding, lack of hydration, poor nutrition...???
Second if it happens I have seen two recommendations...
My friend used to use rubbing alcohol, dove liquid soap and water 1:1:2 to clean everything and kill them off. He didn't spray the snake though. That mixture also works to get rid of spider mites and gnats that are found on other types of plants
I dont think they are good. I know when my buddy gets mites in his snake cage its not good. He has to go through many weeks of cleaning them out because they make his snake sick.
Try looking at some babies that are posted for sale by some of the members. Not any cheaper but at least you know most of them have been well taken care of.
You are right. I was under the impression that this would be good for Veiled's and Panther's. I know it was relatively general but I thought that because this guy was already in the know this would be a good start. I will do more research to help better. Thanks for calling me out.
LLL Reptile sells cage packages with panthers. Ask them about that and this will help you to get some of what you need. They are great. Ask for Jessica she is friendly.
