    Shaking behavior. Very concerned.

It was a "repti basking bulb" to be safe I bought the new one and am using the basking heat bulb for my ball python. (I love having multiple reptiles! Hand-me-downs!) I had purchased a dropper and a red night light, and couldn't find a use for either, so I brought them back to the store for a...

    Charma fell! Freaking out.

So, today was the first day charma, my 6 month old veiled, ever actually let me hold her, so I decided I would take her outside and let her bask in the sunlight. Well, some bratty kids came up, yelling and screaming about how cool she is and she freaked out. She very quickly ran up my arm...

    Too much uvb?

Can chameleons have too much uvb? My room stays fairly cold so charma likes to hang out at the very tippy top of her tank where the basking bulb is, the uvb light is next to it. Is it too close to her?

    Young/baby female veiled chameleon

How do you get her out? I was thinking about grabbing her branch while she's on it and removing it from the room then letting her climb onto my hand.

Oranges are a good idea. I know the acidity can be hard for chameleons to digest, but if it's gut loaded, the acidity will mostly be gone I'd assume. I placed some kale and a few chunks of Apple in their keeper today. So we will see. I also got her a Uva basking light today since she's...

    Too much space?

She is a veiled, and still young. I won't move her until she is an adult as I don't want to stress her out. I would probably have to remove the back and one of the front panes of glass. The sides are most of the support.

    Substrate removal

Nevermind. I came in to find her on one of the fake leaves on the side of her tank. Made it easy to remove the branches.

    Substrate removal

I have a fairly aggressive chameleon. I didn't name her charma for no reason. Charma is a *****. And she will bite. I made the mistake of putting a quarter inch of coconut shred in the bottom of her tank. I am going to switch it to paper towels or news paper, but I need to know how to get the...

I ordered some repticalcium from zoomed online. Without d3. Free of phosphates. Should be in before the next dusting. I have some kale and cabbage I got for Charma, but she won't eat it. I have apples and stuff. Can I just like put a slice in there and they will eat off it?

    Shaking behavior. Very concerned.

Well, I've been keeping an eye on her, no more weird movement. She can't see the ball python, the ball python is nocturnal and stays in her hide during the day, at night we wrap Charmas enclosure with a towel, so even when monty comes out at night, charma can't see her. It's not at all...

    Too much space?

Do you think I could get away with just replacing the back? And possibly one of the front be glass panes? I don't know how hard the glass will be to remove, the back is already coming off.

    Shaking behavior. Very concerned.

I Fed my ball python two days ago, and they are housed in the same room but other than that nothing has changed. The species, sex, and age of your chameleon : female Veiled chameleon, less than a year of age. I do not have a hatch date. How long has it been in your care? I got her on...

    Shaking behavior. Very concerned.

This just started today, I know this because I watch her constantly, I'm amazed by her. She started shaking. All four feet, or three at least holding a branch. Tail curled, but not around anything, she was shaking side to side. My husband read that it could be a calcium deficiency. She is...

    Too much space?

Can chameleons have too big a living space? I have a juvenile chameleon. I also have a fairly large gun cabinet that I would like to pull the back and sides off of and replace with screen to make a larger enclosure for her. Will this be too much space for her? please exuse the mess. We're...

    Young/baby female veiled chameleon

I actually looked up how to "tame" your chameleon. That's not how I worded it. But that's the article that it came up with. Let her settle in, then start feeding her by hand. One or two prey first thing in the morning when she's hungry. After a week of her taking food from your hand let a...

She's in a screen enclosure. It's a lot quicker to type "tank" since I'm on my phone.
