No, I don't think she has MDB. When I say trip, I mean once or twice as she's scurrying away from being misted or something she just gets a little off balance. It's nothing that happens on a regular basis. Her gait is steady and her grip is strong. When I held her for the first time, I was...
That's such a great idea! I want to do that for my chams! Even though he'll never get down there. It'll be nice looking and good for humidity!
Also, you're in Concord! Do you go to the shows in Manchester?
That makes sense. Having the cage would be a good idea. I found the reptibreeze on amazon for 86 bucks which is awesome. But I also saw DIY had the same dimensions for 99. That 13 bucks could get me a UVB bulb or something, but do you think it's best to just get the cheapest cage I can find or...
Yeah, getting a Veiled will definitely lower the price a bit. Hahaha. I haven't been keeping chameleons too long, but from what I've read 2.5 isn't TOOOO young, but it also doesn't seem ideal.
Yeah! 800 sounds a bit pricey. Unless you're getting everything TOP OF THE LINE and not improvising and making homemade stuff. Hahaha.
I'm getting my veiled from Chameleons Northwest. They're turquoise though, so I don't know if your friend would be interested in those, but they are great...
See, I was going to put the plants on a table in a corner so he couldn't wander off anywhere and there isn't enough traffic to step on him. But would your suggestion to just go ahead and buy the 2x2x4 for now?
I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I should free range or cage raise my veiled. I know I'd have to get him the 2x2x4 anyway, but he's only 3 months old. Is it okay to free range them at this age? I'm just nervous about leaving him for hours at a time. It's not like I have other...
The screen doesn't cut the UVB in half. And as for respiratory infection, I'm no expert, but I feel that having a mesh cage doesn't provide a lot of room for stagnant air. If it's too cold his breathing could get shallow and that could cause problems, but from your description it doesn't sound...
I found this on amazon for 15 bucks. If it seems okay, Imma snatch it up!

Well, how big is the tank?
Crickets produce a lot of heat and moisture and glass aquariums do not have proper ventilation for crickets. Even with the screen top, the crickets are living in stagnant air. There are some good threads on here on how to keep crickets.
A lot of people use...
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's always tough to lose a part of your family. Especially with how quickly you get attached to those that you hand feed and take care of and love so much.
I had a cornsnake I bred once and she died soon after laying her first clutch. I found out she had cancer...
Her grip is good and she does wander around her enclosure. Sometimes she "trips" but it's only when she's turning around, as far as I've seen, and I can't expect her to never misstep or something like that.
Yes, I warm up the water. Especially in the morning. If I'm rushing and I need to get her a little wet I just use the room temperature water, but she doesn't seem to be a fan of water either way. Only when it's in the shower. Hahaha.
