Looks like a mite of some type. I'd do the soapy water thing and rinse very well. I don't know if they would hurt your cham or not, but I'd treat all the living plants, just in case.

Yes, it is. It has nice composition, nice blending of tones from the toast and the table, contrast from the stark white plate. The addition of the knife is sort of giving it a "work in progress" feel. Art? Indeed!
