Mine fell a lot of times when he was a baby. The vet was here bacause he was sick, let me tell ya, he gave the vet a run for his money. He kept falling & throwing himself trying to get away. He never hurt anything, thank god! I don't think they are as fragile as everyone thinks.
Fire bellies are very simple to keep. A land & water set up is best. No special heating is required, room temp is fine. A lot of times you see them in a pet store in an aquarium with almost all water & maybe a little haul out. If you notice, they don't have much color to them, mostly all black...
Baby Henry, my 5-6 month old veiled is sitting at the bottom of his big umbrella plant this morning. This is not normal for him. Our daily routine is that when my fiance gets up, he turns on all the lights at about 5:30 am & then when I get up, I do all the feeding & misting. Usually by the time...

Go to the above link it talks about this kind of thing. Hope it helps.
I currently have both styles of cages. I absolutely hate the reptarium! You can't see in it & the zipper is a pain in the a@#! Spend a little extra for the aluminum, you be happy that you did.
I moved "Baby" Henry to a big boy cage today, not so much of a baby anymore. He was not happy! He's about 5-6 moths old & it's the first time that he's really been stressed. I've never seen so many colors come out on him. It was rather exciting, for me anyway, hehe. I think he's going to be...
I'm still fairly new to chams & I need some help with all the different feeders. They only sell 4 different ones in my area & 2 of them are only good for treats now & then ( meal worms & wax worms ). Anyway, I found a site that was recommended on this forum, that sells a good variety of feeders...
I would have to say space. I want more & more chams, but don't have the room because their cages have to be so big.
I worry about them all the time but in a strange way that is kind of rewarding for me. It's hard to explain, I guess it's a motherly thing.....have to have something to worry...
I think you got the wrong one.
This is the one you want, it doesn't have to be variegated like this one

It looks like you got this one,

which is toxic.
Notice the leaves are...
:( Rudis passed away today. I only had him for about 2 weeks.
he started looking a little bit dehydrated & I put him in the shower this morning, he seemed to love it. After his shower we managed to get a wax worm in him. After that he seemed to perk up a little. I was going to pu him back in...
I hope they're safe! I got a new little girl today & as soon as I put her in her new home she started munching on the leaves! She acted like she was starving to death.
Thanks for the advice but I've already posted all the info on another thread because he wasn't eating and nobody could find anything wrong w/ the husbandry. I thought I finally got him eating, but now he's not eating or drinking. He just sits in the same spot all day, sleeping. He might peek at...
