This is just a guess. Where did you get her? Captive bred or WC She probably does not like being touched, looked at, or even discovered in her cage. The handling is stressing her out and the last place she feel comfortable is the bottom of the cage. (just guessing because I have not...

Did you take a pic of the blood? Were was it coming from? (mouth or other end) I don't think chameleons have lots of it, and even a few drops is a terrible loss. What are you feeding? Do you have any grasshoppers or locus? :eek:

If she has never been with the male she is not fertile and will probably lay eggs in the next month or so. I personally would not slow her feeding down and let her eat as much as she wants. Awesome looking!

Not to change the subject but where did you get your panther from and is it possible your wearing dark clothing or have dark nails? (just a stab in the dark) There was a member that had her nails done earlier and her chameleon did react differently. :D
