i made a post about it but nobody seemed to know the answer ...
i get the sleep time, but the day time ?
i have my vivarium (i mean ... his) right next to my pc (1m, max 2) with a directly view at him, and him at me.
and there is where i spend like almost my whole day, especially now in...
mine as well had his first 'shedding experience' since i had him.
i can tell you there is no bigger joy than that ... the way they move and scratch trying to get rid of the dead skin is so amazing and funny ...
and yes, mine shed his legs first, then his tail, and the last day the body + the...
mine falls asleep even if i have the lights on in the room.
when his UVB + UVA lights both go off, he instantly goes offline, even if my room light is still on :D
ok, so there is no problem showering young chameleons if you spray the wall and bounces back ?
and it's ok if you mist/shower directly on him/her if the jet is not too powerful ?
ofc, if he/she enjoys it and it's not stressful
why don't you boil it and let it cool of if you wanna make it hotter ? this way you kill whatever impurities and bacteria might hide in the water
microwave is not even good for people ...
everybody does what he wants, but i heard of bad things happening with juveniles getting showers at early ages ...
even my vet told me not to ...
about the colors ... every single one of them has his/hers personality so ... you have to get him time to accommodate and know him better, he'll tell...
1. i don't think it's a good idea to give him showers, not even at 3-4 months, especially NOT NOW. it's not a good idea to get the babies soaking wet.
2. maybe he was too cold for getting him soaking wet from misting
3. the brighter colors are a good thing, you shouldn't be too worried.
rude ? lol
maybe i was missunderstood, i was asking her (not very nice apparently, cuz i'm very irritated that i can't get a conclusion ... i'm asking for about 2 weeks) if she can help me by looking at the photos.
ok, if you really wanted to help, you could've looked at just 2-3 pics from above.
i know that, but in some photos you can see them, in others, you can't.
i know, but there are some spurs there, but can't be sure if they are spurs or not ...
i have a post about that too, with some pics, if you wanna take a look, please
https://www.chameleonforums.com/male-female-130881/
if you watch at the first photos, you can't see any spurs, but on the last...
i won't give him that water, but when i'm showering, what should i do ? and is it safe to shower a 4 months old ?
his casque may be smaller cuz HE might be a SHE, not sure yet (not even the vet couldn't tell)
the humidity is constant 60-70%, 80%, maybe 90% when i'm misting, but that's the one...
that's good news, i was a bit confused too, cuz he's drinking like daily, i see him with my own non-sunken eyes. he's not shy, so that's good.
now the main problem remains the food ... i hope he will start eating again after he finishes the whole shedding process.
so, the 4-5 (MAX!) cm worms...
and back to the water, i took some photos, obviously his eyes are sunken, but is he critical ?
i made fast a dripper (more like a pierced bottle) and he seems to like it, he drunk some water from it, i don't know why he doesn't like the leaves anymore, but i hope he will drink from the bottle...
well ... 4cm superworms (i don't know if they are adults) are too big for a 20+ cm (head to tail) veiled chameleon ? i don't think that they're that big, and i don't think that he's impacted, he just pooped today.
4cm is the biggest one, i'm feeding him the 2-3cm ones ...
well, for the last days he's not eating so much as he used to, but i think he's doing that cuz he's shedding and i'm giving him some vitamins (from the vet), and he might be stressed.
he's only pooping when he's eating (before he was eating almost 10 dubias/day and pooping 2 times a day, but now...
so i know all the 'tactics' for that, but my main question is :
is it safe for him to drink from the shower ?
many of you say to put him in a shower, and let him drink, but if my shower is not filtered ? it's just tap water, and i don't think it's safe to drink ...
i saw him drink from the...
