for lighting I highly recomend this, I just ordered mine, it will help live plants so much more to thrive and colors in chams have shown to get pretty close to outdoor colors with this lighting system. Bit pricey but way well worth it for their well being (helps so much with UVB intake)...
I usually just use some metal wire in the corners and attach it to the screen on the outside of the cage. I cover the top half of all three sides and the bottom door with its own piece and have the water drain down into some storage bins under a storage rack haha Hope that helps in any way
this is perfectly what you need. I at first had a drain tray (horrible mistake) so i had a bunch of holes on my floor slab so the water now need 2 trays because it leaks everywhere and I have carpet and rent so i cant have mold. In January im buying my adult 24x24x48 cage then and plan on only...
Ive ordered from Linda before and unfortunately the silkies I ordered came all moldy and more then half dead but since i wasnt there to sign for it I didnt think there was anything that could be done about it. I havent tried again since. Right now waiting on hornworms and stick bugs from nick...
my cham is addicted to supers, he will sometimes eat crickets but refuses to try supers, roaches, and anything else really haha I would suggest cutting WAY back on the supers
I'm having to with hold supers from mine until he starts accepting other food, or if I get worried hes gone too long...
thank god! I was so worried my little man would get sick too and id feel SO bad if that had happened. My little man is all I got so I want to give him the best care ever =)
I dont know if this is a dumb question or not but can chamelons catch illnesses such as the flu from their human owners if they are sick? I have the flu and m cham is in my room with me and im worried about making him sick too...
my cham is just a picky eater also, 7 month old rbbb panther and little one is OBSESSED with supers and will only eat supers and a couple of crickets, im trying the whole refusing supers thing to get him to hopefully change his diet over a bit haha but my breeder told me that his entire...
ill put in some hard work to kick his super habit lol unfortunately in NM we dont have very many insects (especially around this time) so i ordered some nymph walking sticks and some horns and silks so we will work hard to ween the little one off the addicting suppers
Haha then Ill give my roach colony (its so super small) away to a friend or get another animal that will eat them =P ill try again with the hornworms, silkies i havent been able to get to hatch from eggs and I really want to try again with some mantids like I did with my last boy but i lost...
my little 6 month old panther male is very picky with his food, it seems all he wants to eat are crickets and superworms. I tried getting him to eat roaches, and hornworms with no success. Ive tried cup and free feeding all food items so that isnt the problem. Is it possible that he will never...
Its easier to offer food one at a time until it stops eating it but I think with babies you need to do this twice a day, I have a 6 month that I just put about 7 crickets and 5 super worms into his cage daily and he just periodically eats them throughout the day. Really read the care sheet on...
This is actually a really cool way to feed your guy haha i dump my crickets into the bottom of my guys cage and wait for him to either hunt them or die haha I feel this would save some lives but im kinda assuming you have bulk crickets that your breeding and that you have that plastic cage from...
