I was looking through your photos and was wondering what the black things are across your cage and where you got them from?
Also did you just zip tie the planter on and have tip tied pieces of driftwood together to help hold it together?
(trying to revamp my cage)...
The schedule looks good to me, I have mine start at 8 and do 3 min sessions all day until lights off. I go early in the day every hour for 3 min but around 2 it switches to every other hour until lights off at 7:30 pm to watch the last of the sunset before closing the blinds at night. I don't...
I went from a double dome light system on timers to a single dome t5 light system. Not only is my cage brighter, my chameleon shows his colors more, is more energetic, and eats more. Buying my T5, while was a bit expensive, was beyond worth the cost. I now have a rain dome as well as the light...
hahahaha small world! Im not actually from New Mexico, I was born and raised in CA and came here for school. Im being pleasantly surprised by the plethora of people with chameleons all around me haha
you guys just gave me so many nightmare scenarios in my head about moving haha but you also gave perfect ways to avoid scary dangerous stuff. Ill pad an old shoe box of mine with paper towels and put the lid on that (still has the two holes on both sides for air) and he will be on the lap of one...
tell your roommate to stop being a stubborn and selfish person. This animal needs helps and your roommate doesnt want to provide it. Find someone willing to take it off his hands for free and move on. Sucks you lost money but he was the one who chose to buy the animal. I bought a sick cham from...
have you taken your guy to the vet? If not I would just say to scoop up the poop and take it in anyways that way you know if he was born with any parasites which is possible. Also helps put your mind at ease with a new pet to have a vet take a look and make sure they are as healthy as they could be
thanks guys, yah I hate moving too. only things that can fall in the cage are the plants at the bottom looks like Ill have to brave the bite to get him out just to be safe since everything is so hard to get out of the cage. At least when moving once your done your done for several months at...
Im just moving a few miles away from where I am now, I would do the bag thing but I cant get anywhere near him without him trying to bite me and getting really grumpy
Hay guys, just wanting to get some advice on moving with my chameleon. I have a 24x24x48 cage and its really heavy from all the plants inside. Recently my guy has gotten very grumpy with me (ive been busy with school so havent had time to get him out regularly to keep him used to me =/) with...
definetely hard water, I use distilled water in my watering system, no dirty plants now haha try getting one of the big things of distilled water and using that, or try a filter on your shower head
I love your coverage, how did you get so much cover? Thats my biggest problem in my cage >.< raindomes rock so much, just keep an eye on it at first with the new cage because sometimes the water pooled so I poked small holes in the top where the dome sits
Cool thanks for the number, im going to message my breeder I got him from and see if he has any answers and if not ill start looking for a vet here, I really should have had a vet lined up before I got my boy but the only one I knew of was a 2 hour drive away so i need to look for a closer one...
i have a ficus, 2 pothos, and 2 umbrellas in my enclosure, multi vites and d3 suppliments have been on par up until a vacation but he has been doing it for a while now, as for water he drinks plenty now that his water bin is being filled properly, the only reason he was dehydrated is because my...
So my boy who is almost 9 months old now has been eating the bark off of some of his branches in his cage, i try to stop him but he is very insistent. My dad was thinking that means he is missing something in his diet, similarly to dogs eating dirt. Is this a viable answer, and what can I do to...
When I got my first boy Gilligan this summer I had him for a week when I saw he just wasnt acting right. The vet and I tried to save his life but after 3 months and about $2000 of tests and medication my poor boy lost his fight and passed on. So far with my new boy Bowser I havent had any vet...
