Nice. I could picture that
That's a good idea. So, rather than leaving bugs in a cup, or throwing crickets in the bottom of the cage, you lean the cup against the screen to make the crickets climb the screen? That would work. Actually, the ONLY time I've seen my little guy get his own...
I wouldn't say they're 'most likely to die within a few months'. Every animal needs care, and sure, chams need extra and are more sensative to their environment. I'm right there with you as far as being new to the cham world, but just keep yourself informed, do LOTS of research and ask as many...
so last night, he slept on his Money Tree on a branch that was almost completely vertical. Is that normal? It was almost as if he was 'standing' while sleeping. I watched him for a while because I was suprised he can sleep and keep his grip like that:o . When I woke up in the morning, before...
Thanks you guys for all the advice thus far.
So, so far the main recommendations would be to add another live plant, and perhaps a highway near the top of the cage. Sounds very doable thing, and good advice.
I also kinda want to figure out a way to rig up a feeder cup in the middle of...
Awesome. i'm going to buy a few regular house bulbs today then. Are 'energy efficient' coil bulbs ok, or standard round bulb is suggested?
Thank you! I took a lot of time building the cage, and I'm not really saavy when it comes to building things in the first place so it took me EXTRA long...
Ok, I think I'll take that advice. Perhaps a little plant hanging from the cage in one of the corners. A few ropes or branches that give him access the the top as well. i definitely thing the top can use more highways.
For supplements I have calium w/ D3, as well as calcium w/out D3. I dust...
How long do the regular house bulbs last? Also, how do they compare, as far as heat, to the reptisun 75watt/100w bulbs. I had a 100w basking bulb from reptisun, and it burnt out in TWO DAYS! Rediculous. Not only that, but it was only getting the basking temp to about 80-82 degrees with a 12''...
Thanks. So his basking spot is in the top right. It's a big, thick vine that sort of loops like a roller coaster in the back. You think I should maybe have a branch or something that goes horizontally or diagnally across the top a little higher than the loop that's currently in there?
Things to note:
Cham: Male Vieled, about 3 1/2 months. 4'' body (see avatar :))
Demensions: 2x2x3
Screen: Aluminum
Lights: 5.0 reptisun tube UVB light & 75 watt reptisum basking light (100 watt burnt out in two days wtf!)
Exo-terra jungle vines, two large, one small...
