You could use the 2x2x4 but raise the floor of it =) and yes, finding food and large drops (they fall sometimes) are the primary concerns, I believe.
I have my baby panther in an 18x18x36 with two giant pothos in it. One is sitting on the cage floor and the other is hanging directly above it...
I read last night some people put the feet of the enclosure in a plate of vegetable oil and that prevents ants from crossing it.
Maybe you can adapt the idea so it doesn't involve plates and let us know what you did? =)
Thank you for taking the cham to the vet. I know it's your animal, your choice, the vet costs money, and admitting there might be a problem with your cham is hard; I have seen way too many threads where so much damage could have been prevented if people just did what you did.
On behalf of...
+1 more for LightYourReptiles.com.
Todd is fantastic. His LED lights are, from what I've heard, second to none for plants and illuminating your cham.
I have the Deep Blue Quad T5 HO fixture with 2x Arcadia 5% UVB bulbs and 2x 10k daylight bulbs and a grow light and my hibiscus + 4 pothos +...
sorry to resurrect a 5 month old thread but my graceful just fell out of his hibiscus 5 minutes after lights out.
I think he's okay. He fell onto his pothos vines that are protecting the rocks at the top of the hibiscus pot.
I'm worried but I guess it's not impossible that they just fall...
You should try Tom's Dino Fuel.
That stuff really IS cricket crack... Just like the marketing material says, you put it on some wet greens and the crickets swarm it.

Thanks everyone! I took him to the vet today because I'm a worry wart and I'm picking up a 4 month old Panther Nosy Be on Wednesday. I wanted to make sure my ducks were aligned before taking on another responsibility =)
Thanks again! Hope to have pics of the addition soon!
Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback!
So he doesn't look dehydrated (based on the eyes) and his feet didn't seem to stick out. I think he lost a toe (before I got him) and his feet have been brown like that for 3 months but it doesn't seem to be spreading anywhere else so I'm guessing it's...
Hard to offend me. I'm always open to feedback. There's no sense in being prideful when my little guy's life is potentially on the line =)
I got him from Petland... the experts here identified it as a gracilis (and so did the pet store, not that it counts for anything) a few months ago.
I...
Hi Guys,
It has been a while since I have asked for help. I will fill out the medical clinic info if needed but I just wanted to get some opinions based on the photos.
Does my chameleon look dehydrated in these pics? Do his feet look ok? They've pretty much looked that way since I got him...
ISA -- check this out http://www.mistking.com/Starter-Misting-System-MKMSN.html
If you have one chameleon this thing is perfect. Aside from the super fine mist and quiet performance, the next greatest part is if you DO forget to refill your water (hopefully not for too long, since your...
The most basic MistKing setup is $100 USD. I think the monsoon is very close to that. I have two MK setups (the Ultimate Value one) and I am exceptionally happy with them.
The timers that came with the systems aren't the best quality though. I had two fail within 3 months (one was broken out of...
Did you get organic soil? Was manure mixed in?
Wet + Manure = poop smell! yay.
I hope it's this simple. I used Miracle Gro's organic soil and the manure smell went away after a while.

I have a 4 foot hibiscus thriving inside... I've got it positioned next to a tinted window where it gets direct sunlight. On top of the enclosure I have a T5HO fixture with two 10k bulbs and two 6% UVB arcadia bulbs. There's also a 40 watt grow light facing the hibiscus that acts as my cham's...
the website says 12 months, but if you have access to a solarmeter you should check them (for the safety of your reptiles!!)
