It is a 16" x 15" x 20". Yes I am getting a young one. I have a bigger cage ready for when it grows up a bit.

I've got hydei they are supposed to be the largest fruit flies (unless there are others I don't know about). I am pretty sure that they can fit through though, I have this type of cage...

Really? Maybe I'll try just using the big cage. My hydei look like they can fit through. I'll have to experiment.

Hmmm, good point about the UVB light. The ff will be able to get through the mesh screen, not just the gaps. I will have to re-think the UVB thing, ack. Good thing I won't be getting my baby for another month!
