i would get a jacksons because they are cheaper, a community chameleon as in u can keep a pair or 1 male and multiple females, easier to care for and arent as expensive as panthers. i got my pair from a captive breeder for $120 and captive bred panther babies usually go from $250 up. but what...
what i've been told mealworms are considered a "treat" for reptiles of all kinds and should not be a staple diet, they aren't so healthy either because of their hard to digest shell they have. They should only be fed maybe a couple every other week in my opinion
ok i'll stay away from that stuff thanks :) i use oatmeal a lot but small amounts like i'll sprinkle some on the top but my roaches get a very wide variety for my jackson's and other reptiles :)
cup feed him. i have a pair of jackons chameleons and i put my dubia roaches in a bowl (just because i have 2 so i dont use a cup) and they run right over. and none of the roaches get out :)
She wasn't a business breeder she lives like 45 minutes from me but trust me she is no dummy at Jackson's. She's been breeding them successfully for 5 years. So when she told me this I was shocked. But if all of you guys are saying its fine then I'll go with your word. Thank you everyone :)
yea the breeder told me because they can't digest it? but if the insects digest it then the jacksons should have no problem? and yes i feed my dubias a big variety of food.
so this is safe right? like i said i've used it for my dragon and never saw problems. but the breeder told me not to and i just want to see if other people do this and see no problems
i breed dubia roaches and always use to give them oranges. when i got my pair of jacksons, the breeder i purchased them off of said to never feed your jackson's feeders oranges? i have other reptiles besides jacksons (a bearded dragon) and have fed oranges to the dubias and then to the dragon...
i've read multiple articles on breeding wax worms. but some articles say use a glass jar or glass tank, because they can eat through plastic. some say plastic will do. if anyone breeds them, what can i use?
These are, what I've read, are hybrid roaches, slightly smaller than discoids. Anyone have experience with these guys? I have dubias and are they basically the same care?
what is the average amount of time it takes for a baby jackson to shed? i have a pair of 3 month old. i'm not so sure if they shed before i got them i think they did, but i've had them for a week. i just want to know :)
so the air conditioners are going in soon. the temps will be about 70 69 degrees fahrenheit. i have a pair, they're 3 months old. is this too cold? just want to make sure and be safe.
