    Ugg Mites

Maybe they are just plant mites, not animal mites.

    MBD experience needed

That poor beardie is obviously in some serious health trouble. MBD can kill if left untreated. The heart and all other muscles require calcium in order to work. JannB provided a link to excellent MBD advice and it was written by a vet. Natural sunlight helps reptiles to absorb calcium...

Well, coccidia do their damage to the digestive tract, so Alby may still be recuperating physically. You may want to feed him some nutritious Phoenix Worms aka black soldier fly larvae. These have lauric acid in them which studies have shown promotes healing and fights coccidia . Just...

    Bugs in Organic Soil

x2 Dawn dish soap is fine to use on the leaves. It helps to dissolve residues that could harm your cham, such as pesticides and fertilizers. I wouldn't worry about the soil, as long as it doesn't have extras in it like perlite or fertilizer balls that would be bad for a cham to eat...

If this is the cham who has been recently treated for coccidia, then it is not so surprising. I would make sure, via another fecal that he is now cured completely. If this is not the one who was recently treated, then a fecal exam is still a wise idea just to be safe.

    Unknown Sickness

The important things about the shower method is to not accidentally drown the cham or burn him. As long as the plant is large enough to support him and has had the leaves cleaned of any pesticides/fertilizers, then it shouldn't matter much. The large plant idea is so the plant won't fall over...

New move 5:30 and sleeping already

Something else you may want to do, since she is very young and still rather new, is to have people take a closer look at her setup and care, just to be sure everything is the way it needs to be for her to grow and be healthy. So many times people are given care instructions by people whom...

New move 5:30 and sleeping already

If the room she is in gets lighter earlier, then she probably is up in advance of the enclosure lights. You want to be sure that she has enough dark time to sleep and most people want to make sure there's enough time their chams are awake after the work day ends. I imagine that 1/2 hour...

White crusty growth on right side of veiled

You're very welcome. I'm not anywhere near Nashville, so I can't recommend anyone there but you can make a new post titled Need Vet in Nashville, as well as looking through the links in this post: https://www.chameleonforums.com/veterinarian-resources-67/ I did glean these reptile vet...

Keep in mind that the day length here in the Northern Hemisphere is shortening. Rather than changing more things, why not let her adjust to the recent changes?

    Viatimin A Deficiencies in Cameleons

Not bad suggestions..... Makes sense to get some animal ingredients into the bugs. Hmm, maybe next time a Jackson's gives birth unexpectedly in the winter, the babies should be given to a bunch of cham foster parents, instead of me panicking to find FF Cultures locally when temps are so cold...

    Unknown Sickness

The calcium/mbd answers you need are in this post--which was written by a veterinarian https://www.chameleonforums.com/what-metabolic-bone-disease-mbd-looks-like-how-happens-how-fix-95071/ One way to rehydrate the cham and not soak his cage is this: "Shower - Another method of providing...

White crusty growth on right side of veiled

Sorry your cham has a growth that's getting larger. A growth like that could have one of several different causes (bacteria, virus or fungus) and it is worth having a cham-knowledgeable vet biopsy it so the right treatment can be given before it literally becomes a bigger problem. You will...

    Rehabbing a panther

How kind of you to help this chameleon! It takes a very patient and kind person to regularly hand feed a cham. You might find that it helps soothe and clean his eyes to do some gentle saline eye rinses using Bausch and Lomb Sensitive Eyes Plus solution or the CVS drug stores generic...

    Fecal Float Test Results

Thanks so much for the microscope info. You don't need to buy a Kindle to read the Kindle books, Amazon provides the app for free, so you can use a computer, phone, etc. I should have mentioned that it's the newest 2012 edition which is highly prized. One of the things I like about the...

    Fecal Float Test Results

:D Great photos--thanks so much for posting them. I'd love to know the model of microscope you used. Like so many other things with chams, I think you're going to find that there are 2 opposite schools of thought as to whether or not to treat. One group may say, "If he has no signs...

    Vet transporting?

FWIW, I use a larger cardboard box, with twisty vines attached to the box to grip onto and a towel lining the bottom. I use masking tape to close the box because it can be peeled open and resealed without shredding the box.

Weekend Vacation? What to do with my Cham?!

Ok, then all is forgiven ;) Hope your surprise birthday trip is great! Glad you got things squared away for your cham, so she will be OK while you're away.

Most likely it's just a reaction to the stress of the big move. You won't go wrong by keeping watch for any signs of illness over the next week or so, just to be safe.
