    Strategies for feeding?

Where do you buy them? I haven't seen those before!

    Strategies for feeding?

And in other news, he just had a really good poop...on my carpet! My kids freaked out and I just kept telling him what a good boy he is. Thank goodness my kids are old enough to know this does not mean they should poop on the carpet! hahahaha

    Strategies for feeding?

Thanks all! I have moved his shooting gallery to the other side of his cage where it is a little harder for me, but more private for him. I have placed a fake plant on the outside of the cage to mask the outside world from his gallery view, and I ordered a different coloured cup for dubias...

    Strategies for feeding?

I saw him catch 2, but that is definitely not enough for a day. He also ate one med(on the larger side of med) silkworm today.

    Strategies for feeding?

Thanks! I was thinking hiding the outside from the gallery would be a good idea. Fake plants would be perfect! I am just looking up the Full Throttle items too. I had seen them in other cages but didn't know what they were called! Thanks

    Strategies for feeding?

Interesting. I have seen him slow down for shedding before (we have had him for 2 sheds), but he is so small for his age, I worry when I don't see him mowing down!

    Strategies for feeding?

Thanks. He is definitely a shy eater, but is very personable when he is out for cleaning or to hang out on his ficus tree in our kitchen (his favourite field trip!) I feel like he won't hand feed because he just doesn't want to eat with company. I am wondering about moving his shooting...

What is my chameleons age? (with a twist)

Thank you SO much for posting this. My little guy was deemed a "slow grower" by our breeder and he is still really small. I have adjusted and researched SO many things to see why he is like this, but maybe it's just his little chameleon way!

What is my chameleons age? (with a twist)

I'm interested in this! I have a 7 month panther who is itty bitty compared to people's posts. Maybe it will make me feel better. I am going to guess around 5 months because although it looks small, there is more colour than I would have expected for a wee little one. That said, I am no expert!

    Strategies for feeding?

Hi again! So I have a 7 month old panther who looks and acts healthy, but is only 13 g. He is definitely small and I am trying to get him to eat more. He eats something every day and produces good poops, but he will only eat the silkworms I put out on branches. He will not hand feed and he...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

Ok, thank you for clarifying. Yes, the fogger is on at a weak setting, on and off throughout the hours of 11 and 5 over night only and from above. As it is a screen cage, there is airflow from two sides and the top of the third. Back is against a wall. I could add a fan for him. It seems as...

    geeking out!

No worries! I just learned about her myself. She is a scientist. She publishes on uv lighting and reptiles. Zoos use her work!

    Cooling enclosure at night?

Thanks. The fogger is only run at night. Here are some pictures of his home. And see, the last person who commented is saying again not to run the fogger at these temps. I do not have my mind set on anything, but I have a 12gram lizard who is almost 7 months who is stunted growth because of...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

The house does not fluctuate at night. We keep it constant, so when the AC is on in the summer, it is set to cool to 74 and when the heat is on, it heats to 70. So, we are coming into an easier time for him I guess with the temp being lower in the house in general. I will need to sort out a...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

Thanks for your reply! So what do I make of all the comments I see about not fogging unless it is under 67 degrees?

    Cooling enclosure at night?

4 ft is eye level for the majority of the people in my house! If I raise him up much, my kids will not be able to help with him at all. He is an important part of their lives, so striking a balance would be good. And no, I don't have a drainage system. I am not sure how to do it, so I have...

Asking Color Morph and Size Panther Chameleon

I can't answer your questions, but I have an almost 7 month panther who is smaller than yours. May I ask what the weight is on your panther? I am desperately trying to help my little dude grow!

    Cooling enclosure at night?

I have a temp gun to check the temp at night and the fogger alone is not dropping the temp sufficiently. I keep seeing people posting about not having the fogger running unless it is 67 degrees, and it isn't, so I need to drop the temp yet. Ice sucks and doesn't stay cold all night. Just...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

I live in Wisconsin. Our house is kept at 74 in the summer and 70 in the winter. We use AC and have a humidifier on our furnace. These things are not negotiable as we have a Steinway piano. His cage is on the floor to keep the temp a little cooler, but ice packs and the fogger are the only...

    Cooling enclosure at night?

I think this is the last piece of my panther puzzle. Aside from ice packs, which don't stay cool all night, I am not sure what best practices are for keeping his cage lower temp at night. How is this done by most of you? Surely you don't drop your whole house temp do you? I can't monkey with...
