I'd venture to say that most, if not all chameleons don't like "fast movement" when it happens close to them. Most of their "reactions" are simply a defensive behavior to feeling threatened.
I'm one of the people that has posted recently about my chameleon acting very aggressively towards me...
I KNOW what your talking about.......and I guess I just thought it would happen in a more "gradual" type way. LOL...........well I was wrong.
This was Flash's third shed since getting him at the end of September. He's been shedding almost every 3 weeks to the day since then.
I guess...
I've got both the larvae and the beetles in every shipment of crickets that I've received. I have been just vacuuming them out when I clean the cricket bins out.
Pretty interesting to find out what they really are though. ;)
I'm guessing that your talking about the "Calcium Plus" that Repashy sells. It is an "all in one" with everything including some vitamin A. It is an ultra-fine powder that a little of goes a long way. You dust your feeders with it DAILY, but missing a day a week shouldn't hurt anything if you...
Not sure that he's quite "big enough" to draw any blood yet, but I'm liable to find out over the next few days. Truly, I think it's all show and not easily intimidated.........I'm thinking more of the stress that I'm imposing on him than the "fear" he isn't imposing upon me. :)
I can only...
Hand feeding, I haven't tried yet..........BUT..........cup feeding is definately out. He just sits above the cup and checks them out. He likes to hunt 'em down, apparently.
From going back ane re-reading a lot of posts about "chameleon puberty", I have pretty much came to the conclusion that it is a "phase" that he's going through.
I also realize that he considers the inside of the cage..........HIS home and I am nothing but a big, ugly trespasser in HIS domain...
O.K...........our "not so nice" after his recent shed Flash has suddenly gotten quite the ATTITUDE. I don't know if it's a "stage" he is going through but I'm hoping that is all it is. He is REAL pissy whenever I open the cage door for anything...........including feeding him.
What's up with...
While not wanting to get into "which" brand is the best, me recommendation would be to get something with the BEST glass possible in the lens. The best camera body can be rendered pretty useless without a lens that is capable of doing what you want it to do.
That being said.........I also...
This is the SAME argument...........on a DIFFERENT forum. I belong to a "traditional archery" forum and at least once a year a thread comes up about "over-priced" bows. They BOTH do the same thing, shoot arrows......they BOTH look "similar".............so.........WHY is it that some of the...
I thought you said he didn't have much color
He's gonna be a "looker".......just enjoy the journey. He'll be all grown-up and not change color when he sheds, before long. Oh.......and very NICE pictures. :D
Your quite welcome. :)
It is recommended for every feeding. I occasionally skip a day a week, but my crickets really love the Bug Burger that he sells and I don't think it hurts to miss one day a week.
Repashy Calcium Plus........is the one "complete" dusting powder that you need. Here is the link............

Yep........thats the "good stuff". I've been gut-loading with his Bug Burger and dusting with only the Calcium Plus.
Well........he thinks he's "fierce".......anyways. When they are this size, they have to put on quite the show to be intimidating.
DANG...........pretty darn good for a 5 year old.
Like Jann, we've got a regrigerator thats full of pictures of our little "Flash". As a matter of fact, I think they even used some sidewalk chalk and made one or two out in the driveway back earlier in the fall.
