You can get rid of the mites on the hissers by "shake & bake" method, without the bake part. Put a roach in a baggie of flour and gently shake. Gently brush excess flour off with a soft paintbrush. The beneficial mites on hissers are not grain mites. Help with grain mites, keep the lid off if...
Hi! I live close to you in bville. I'm new to chameleons but I have other pets. I also know a bit about places for online shopping for you new cham. It makes it easier because the pet stores often don't have what you need. Let me know if I can help. I'm not often on here so may be best to pm me...
I lived way up north of there in Kotzebue for a year. If you are a native you get unlimited hunting and fishing rights. Although I'm not a native I did get to participate in cutting moose and caribou for meat packaging/freezing. You need to go up there in the winter time to go ice fishing. That...
I'm wanting to give away roach nymphs. I have 3 adults and probably 30 nymphs. I need to find homes for the nymphs. They are free but you pay for shipping. Here are some pics
Here is a sample of different size worms. The biggest in the cup is not quite full grown. I have tiny worms but too small for me to see. New hatched worms are white.
here is my set up. The top bin is for the supers. The bottom bins are for bettle/supers. I alternate the beetles bins because...
If they are curled up they are probably still alive. If they are straight or brown and stinky pitch them as they are probably dead. If in doubt touch them to see if they move. It does take awhile for them to pupate.
I just wanted to add this info I found a week or so ago about the baby food question I asked.

I don't have him in a glass tank, nor do I put him outside in one so he's safe there. I tried to put him in the shade and I had a ficus tree and other vines in with him for shade. It was still hot. We try to go out early in the day.
I did go to a vet that is 3 hours from me. I really liked them. My truck has given up the ghost so I'm on foot for now. I guess I'll order some liquid but I was worried about the shipping time. Thanks anyway.

I'm not really feeding him baby food, only asking. I'm only trying to figure out what to do that would be best. I...
Hi, I posted about my rescued veiled and several people on here said he looked like he had MBD. I ordered the calcium w/o d3 and it arrived today. I called the vet last week and she will be in the coming monday. She has no available app ts open but she will talk to me. I also asked the nurse...
I too got a compact a long time ago. Even though it was reptisun and I thought it was good it caused some eye damage in my bearded dragon. I learned in time to change it out. Better safe than sorry.
yes I got them from Bugpros, but I also got some from NYWorms. I think they were fine when I only had 100 but when it jumped into the 1000's whew, man alive! I do use some substrate but since they don't burrow I didn't use too much. I've had them a good long while and I don't use dog food so...
Yes even though people say they can't climb I still found several that got out somehow. They are a great feeder though. They are pretty fast too. The good thing is they don't burrow so they stay in sight for a good long time. The thing that got me off of them was the smell. They do have a bit of...
