No, it sits on the top of the cage

I was wondering if the open wound could be a burn? Because he likes to crawl on the ceiling of the cage and try to walk around the basking light, but I tried to shew him away and maybe he turned his head and burn it? Would a burn be open like that for the first day?

okay thanks. My computer won't let me upload the pictures, so I will give the neosporin a try today. All the baby veiled chameleons there did have the brown markings, so maybe it was from transport. Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what the outcome is with my chameleon, Reptar. -B

I was thinking of neosporin but I didn't know. I am going to dust the crickets in the vitamin supplement; I don't know if that will hav any effect. But I will post pictures of him tomoroow when he wakes up. Hopefully, (I know this a very long shot) he will be better and not need extreme vetinary...

I just got my baby veiled chameleon yesterday from the pet store. I just noticed tonight that there is a tiny open wound behind his right eye. I'm not sure what if could be. Also, he has what looks like a light purple ring that goes around both eyes. Even more than that, his face has some brown...
