The humidity has been around 40%. Is that good or bad?
If I would get the repti fogger, would you then suggest a glass cage or is that like a no no in chameleon housing?
So this weekend, I'm going to petsmart or petco to Getty veiled chameleon a fogger or waterfall. What do you guys suggest? I know with the waterfall you can separately buy a fogger to put in it, but would it create enough fog to keep the humidity up? If not, what about a fogger? I'm not having...
My Veiled chameleon has had some tiny black spots under his veil for the past few days. It has also been kind of whitish/ gray where the black spots are. I went down a few minutes ago to change his lights, and I realized that they are coming around his eyes. Could this just be that he is getting...
So since Hurricane Sandy is supposed to like destroy America, I guess my home is in her path. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and was wondering what should I do if the
power goes out for an extended period of time? All of my chameleon's lights will be out, and I'm a new chameleon owner and am kind of...
Oh okay!
His cage is at 80+ degrees Fahrenheit.minwent to petsmart to get mealworms, BT they only had large and my chameleon is small. The lady was really nice and told me its normal that he hasn't pooped because even though his lighting and setup is the same, he can sense the change in...
His eyes aren't sunken. I mist probably 5X a day for 1 min each. He has a dropper. He has been eating. Like around 11 crickets a day. The humidity reading is at 50. It's 35 degrees here, so idk about taking him outside. I may buy him worms today because I know they are filled with liquid and may...
Oh I forgot to say, my mom was running a dehumidifier in our basement (where chameleon cage is) could it be that it was taking the water out of the air AND is cage and making it dry, so he couldn't drink to poop?
My juvenile chameleon hasn't pooped since Monday. Today is Sunday. I'm a little worried and don't know what to do. Help please. He is a juvenile veiled. I think male, can't tell yet.:(
I gut load the crickets
I dust them in calcium powder
Today I dusted them in vitamin dust
Is there anything I am missing?
Mine is somewhere b
Around 1 month old. Should I let the crickets walks round the cage or put the in a cup? My chameleon is about 4 inches long.
Im going to keep an eye on my chameleon. Its nothing severe like returning him to the store because the wound is looking better today. Tomorrow i'll put some neosproin on it. I mean, this "wound" if it even is is small than the ball at the end of a pin.
Im sure the bruises will go away soon...
No, the basking light sits about 8 inches above the vine.
But the basking light does air on the top of the cage, which he still possibly be burnt if he went up there.
I don't think the wound is that bad enough that I would have to take him back. Its probably no bigger than the tip of a pencil. The lady said she didnt know how old he was and they had him in store for the last 3 weeks. Im not sure if this wound is that severe. It doesn't look as bad today, and...
Its my 3rd day with my baby veiled chameleon. He didn't eat the first day because the pet store had already fed him. The second day I witnessed him about 3 crickets that were dusted with calcium dust and dead. Today I didnt see him eat any crickets, but I assume he has because I can't find them...
