I went to a garden center an grabbed some growing moss... i put it over all the soil and kept it moist for a while and eventually it stared to root and grow. it didnt bother my plant at all either and my lil guy never went on that planter again. just worked for me hope this helps

could be a yawn, my little panther does it in the morning when he comes up to bask... or your he may gaping to regulate his body temp... thats just from my experience

i too have a rain dome i love it. along with two nozzles in each cage. i just set up an awesome drain system looks a little ghetto but it works awesome!
