Actually, when i ran out of chow for my silkies, their frass turned orange, but they seemed slightly orange or discolored. I don't know if it was from them brushing up on their frass when it accumulated or what, but yeah... they weren't completely white...

I've been thinking of free ranging my veiled but don't know where to start. Any tips? I didn't realize that you guys even give them a rope or ladder to climb down onto the floor. In that case, obviously i should choose a room where if he were to explore, then he would only stay in that room away...

I used to buy those concrete mixing basins from Home Depot for $20 bucks. I had 3 basins and 3 cages. I used to put bricks in them so the cage could stand up higher to open the door. Then i had a long basin made specifically to my requested dimensions so all 3 can fit in them; and then i drilled...
haha. i'm lookin for a female for my kong. i currently have 2 females for him. one's too small (they try and give up after 15-20 minutes. well... he does and she bugs him for an hour before she gives up n sleeps) and the other i just recieved, but she might be too old for him as she doesn't show...
I think all of my chams do that when they're young and sometimes when they're older too. For mine, if i put another hand in front of them, they see it as more space to move... so they move. If i don't put another hand in front of them, they stay still... It's sort of like a tread mill... haha...

I feed Kong (1.5yr old male veiled) a pinkie every now and then. he'll eat it right outa my hand. his first one took so long for him to warm up to it and figure out what it was doing in his cage.
