eric
wait, you're right, i wasn't very specific with what i said. I said the trait is "sunburst" as in that's what the trait is called. You're right, i agree it's nothing specific. just lots of orange and yellow in the cham with a catchy marketing name. My mistake
sunburst
it's a pretty common trait found in veiled chameleons, the sunburst pattern that is, it gives them more yellow and orange pigments as opposed to turquoise or green.
good point
I'm going to have to agree with you Eric. Albinism and other genetic variations occur in the wild as well, it's not like these traits just showed up when some mad scientist was playing in his basement.
cham
Honestly I'd give him all he can eat when he's growing. Throw in a ton of crickets in there and then just take the extra ones out every night, or they may nibble on your cham. I fed my chams this way and they grow at a very healthy and happy rate.
sleeping colors
His sleeping colors are much like his awake colors only more milky. He stays pretty vivid most of the time... His Green bars tend to turn more Yellow than Green at night tho.
chams
I bought him from The Chicago Reptile House, but they got their Panthers from Kammerflage Kreations. I was only guessing he's 5 months could be a bit older, I really don't know. He's pretty tiny still as you compare him to my fingers in the one shot you can get an idea of how small he...
camera
I'm still trying to figure out the settings for this camera, i wish the other ones didn't turn out blurry! His colors only showed up really vivid recently, so I can't wait to see him in about a year.
I'm so proud of this little guy, here he is trying to hide!
Hanging Out
Still Chilling on some fake bamboo
What a show stopper!
Think he's a blue bar?
