How do you set up branches??

A combination of wedging them into the soil of the plant pots and little green food ties at the top. All seems stable enough and is dead easy to take apart to clean. :D

Today is day 30..and no signs of laying yet!

Could Jann or anyone else PLEASE put up a picture of what a female stuffed with eggs looks like? I went to such a lot of trouble yesterday jamming a big laying box into my reptibreeze and I don't think she's anywhere NEAR laying or being full of eggs. From all the posts I read (especially...

Some pictures of an unco-operative Budgie

Jann, I went out and got an egg laying bin last week but its HUGE, following your 12x12x12 inches advice and I'd lose so much foliage that I'm stuck where to put it! The Viv is only 17 inches square at the bottom (but 4ft high of course). She has just stared shedding for the first time since...

    some new pics

Oh he's lovely! Is that special camera effects or is he really blue in the first photo :D. Looks very healthy, not a rib in sight, is he friendly, will he come out to you or let you hand feed him yet?

    The Truth

dagy24 - that quote has properly had me laughing fit to pee myself!!! :D I belong to a couple of other forums and it's always the same thing. People pop along to ask for basic advice, using text speak or difficult to interpret words and it's so sad for the poor animals in these peoples care.

    Anybody else?

My son has a baby beardie, about 4 months old now and its been the handling and care of him that has led to my reptile obsession and getting my own chameleon, Budgie. Of the two of them though, I definitely think the Chameleon is far more interesting to watch, the whole colour change, curly...

Some pictures of an unco-operative Budgie

Just to let you see what my set up looks like and some pics of my lovely girl. I've had her 2 weeks, she's about 8-9 months old and today was the first day I did a massive "everything out / scrubbed / replaced" thing and I'm just not happy with how I've done it. Not enough foliage at the top...

God, No idea but in the absence of any more sensible replies in the near future I'd get her to the vet ASAP. She IS definitely a girl right?

    Reptibreeze XL

Hmmm, I disagree and think you need LOTS of misting to keep happy Chams and the water has to go somewhere. Like I said before, I got this huge black tray 60cm x 60cm, 10cm deep from a garden centre and it cost £6.99. It was in and around the green house section. I put the reptibreeze in this...

    Yellow Veiled Female

Very cute Chameleon, what did you call her? I'm glad she's rewarding your patience and coming toward your hand. I got mine at 8 months old and its a longer process I guess, because the shop owners didn't handle them so she's just not used to it. She IS starting to associate me with food now...

    Thoughts on plants?

My cham seems to nibble quite a lot on my ficus and it does her no harm!!

    Idea for increasing humidity?

I also use a nice green shower curtain around the back, comes halfway round to the front of the sides, if you see what I mean?? I hand mist 3xday and maintain about 60-65% humidity. (Also have 3 big live plants in there)

    lot of stuff

Yup. Make it look like a nice, crowded bit of rainforest wth lots of leaves, fake and real, and lots of crisscrossing branches and vines so your little guy can do a full tour of his territory in comfort and get to all the escaped live food in all the nooks and crannies!. Makes for a bit harder...

    The Truth

Being that they are actually reptiles, and that reptiles have been around in one form or another for a LOT longer than us namby pamby hoomans, I'd second that they'd have to be a fairly hardy bunch of critters. It's the taking them from their most desirable habitat and placing them in cages...

My new cham loves his misting

Dave, she's about 9 month old and beautiful (of course :D) BUt she HATES the misting, runs and hides every time. I just figure if i get everything REALLY wet, she's going to get the drips from somewhere? And as I said before the dripper runs 24/7 so she always knows where to go for a drink...

Finally Got Some Pics of Ziggy

Now, you see I think he looks gorgeous, like a smaller version of my 9 month "Budgie", but you can definitely see his rib cage, just like I can always see my Budgies rib cage. I that just the normal Veiled "Look" then? Are they the Kate Moss of the Cham world because I've been worried mine is...

    Reptibreeze XL

I bought from Surrey Pet supplies who I find to be wonderful but seem to get mixed opinions from other sites!! Autumn winter, central heating will be on anyway so makes no difference. I find the temp stays at about 78f during day with basking lights and uvb, humidity at about 60% with a...

    Reptibreeze XL

I have my large reptibreeze sat in a large square planter 60cm x 60cm. I have a shower surtain arond the back coming halfway across both side panels to keep the mister from misting my walls and to keep humidity in.. All the water drops eventually into the large black planter whose sides are...
