This brings up an issue that I’ve always been confused about. Why is it generally recommended NOT to directly spray chameleons? Wouldn’t this be beneficial for them?

Both are about 9 months old. They are in the same cage, with a removable barrier between them. Yesterday, they basically started making bedroom eyes at each other, if you’ll excuse the anthropomorphism. She was showing blue spots, so we removed the barrier and quietly observed. Three times now...

Yeah, but she’s the one initiating the mating—weird. :confused: It’s kind of like me and my wife when she’s horny and I’m trying to watch Criminal Minds.

We’re going to give them a couple more shots at it, and then we’ll separate them by tonight. Needless to say, we’ll keep a close eye on them for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

It turned out to be rough sex. I titled it Smack my Bitch Up, and it will be coming to a YouTube near you in about 15 minutes. :D

Hee hee—we recently acquired our first Melleri and we were total newbies. I let him have his way with my arm for all of about five minutes while we were considering the purchase. By the time I said “we’ll take him”, my right arm looked as if I had tangled with a cat.

Good grief. You could buy a 3’ X 5’ polyurethane shower pan like this one for about $50 at Home Depot. See the ¾” ledge all around? Throw in enough screen hardware to build a 7’ X 3’ X 5’ enclosure, and voila—a 105 cubic foot floor-to-ceiling cage for less than 200 bucks.

Thanks for trying to help, but none of these suppliers sell a cage identical to the one in my picture. The key is the fitted drip pan. You see the ledge where the cage rests? That’s where the bottom screen is—the actual bottom of the cage is a full two inches below it. The plant and the branches...

I have two of these cages, and I’d like to get more, but for the life of me I have no idea who manufactures them. I bought them from a guy I no longer will do business with, and I’d like to find another source. Also, does anybody know if and where I can buy just the plastic drip pan?
