So I just removed yet another sperm plug, this one being much larger than the first. His Hemipenal bulge still looks rather large. Any ideas as to what this may be? Included is a picture of the bulge and a picture of the plug I removed:
My Chameleon has finally started to get sperm plugs, and It seems like he's got yet another stuck one. I removed one before because it was really seeming to bother him, but I'm always afraid I might hurt him. Does anyone have some tips on how to safely remove them?
I just checked on him today and that lump is almost gone. Turns out it was from a SECOND sperm plug trying to come out. I'm gonna try to let him push this one out on his own...
The spray bottle I'm not too sure about. on very rare occasions he'll be fine with getting sprayed, but he mostly drinks from the dripper and gets his humidity from the fogger. He's very strange sometimes...
here's a bit more of a recent photo, except I think he's about an inch or so longer than this now. I will try to get a photo now, he's up way past his bed time right now!
Hi, I just have a quick question about my panther. I'm not sure what the average size is for one his age, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the average size of an 8-9 month old male panther. I bought him in April at a Reptile show and they told me he was a month old at the time, but...
Humidity is around 60 to 70 with the fogger on, but I think its like 30 or so with it off. He did have a live plant, but he trampled and destroyed it so I had to toss it. Don't remember the exact type of plant. He has two fake plants right now.
Yes, I have used warmer water... same result. I suppose the dripper will have to do for now. I forgot to mention that humidity is another major reason in which I purchased the fogger. Will it help raise the humidity in his cage?
Hi, so recently I purchased a Repti Fogger for my 8 month old panther miyagi. He tends to run away from the spray bottle when I use it. I also use a dripper, which he will drink from, but it floods the cage so I'm not very fond of it. When I got the Repti fogger, he seems to really enjoy it. I...
The UVB is only about 3 or 4 months old. I did hear about the eye issues caused by the compact bulbs as well and have been trying not to use it too much. Of course, he still needs UV so I can't completely get rid of it. I will look into purchasing a better bulb. Also, I just came back home and...
He's been with me for about 8 months now. When I bought him they told us he was a month and a half old, but looking back at his size I believe he was only a few days old.
