    Cham eats a... fish?

Well I don't think my cham will ever be big enough to feed a live mouse too, but that mouse looked like it was dead after two chomps to me.... I mean that's a pretty big cham chomping directly on its head. This is interesting stuff though. I didn't think they'd be able to go fishing in the...

    Gravid?

Maybe "gravid" was the wrong term... It is a veiled, she hasn't been bred, so I guess I should have said 'an infertile clutch?' I dunno. Anyway, she hasn't been bred, but sure has the symptoms of an infertile clutch and I've been noticing her starting to look preggo before this started. I...

    Ordering food from the net

Anybody know any reputable sites I can order from that will deliver to Canada... specifically Newfoundland because its pretty isolated.... I doubt the costs can possibly be high enough to not be cheaper then the local pet store here that has a monopoly on all this stuff. 30 cents for a...

    The Translucent Veileds

what makes a translucent veiled "translucent" anyway? As in, what seperates it from being a normal veiled? Can you see through it or something?

    Video of Veiled running

my veiled does that after shes been on my hand for a few minutes and is comfortable that im not gonna eat her... she usually runs up my arm right to my ear and climbs on top of my head. either that or makes a turn down my back once she gets to my shoulder.

    What's your cham's name...

Bubbles, from the trailer park boys (not sure if you Americans will have been exposed to that show). Mainly because of the cham's eyes, but also cause Bubbles is one hilarious character, and a Canadian icon.

    pinkie mice?

my pinkie was dead... i also dont think my local pet store has live pinkies. i was suggested to grab it by the tail with tweezers and wiggle it. but that didnt work... anyway, i gave it to my cham about 5 hrs after the lights turned on, and it hadnt eaten at all that day. wiggling it didnt...

    pinkie mice?

i got mine to eat a pinkie just yesterday for the first time actually. sure seemed to fill her up, she hardly even ate any crickets today. as long as the diameter isnt bigger then the space between their eyes then its ok, or at least thats what ive read but keep in mind im a rookie.

Lots of pics for you fine folks

Do you mean of all seven days of the week I should only dust one day's worth of crickets?! I realise I need to get rid of the coil light, I learned that last night while searching around on here. I just want to know out of curiosity what the difference is. As for the water bowl, I change...

Lots of pics for you fine folks

Cage Info: Cage Type - The cage is entirely screen. It's about 18" x 18" at the base and 36" high. I plan on buying a bigger one when she's nearly full grown but I read I should buy one small enough for her to find food easily when she's smaller. Lighting - I think the brand is Reptisun...

Lots of pics for you fine folks

and a few more pics... in the last one she is stretched out to eat... its bad quality (like the rest of them) but you can see the little bulge by her hind legs a lot better. And yes, that is an infared light. My basking light broke (well... just stopped working actually...) and I just...

Lots of pics for you fine folks

Hello all, Meet Bubbles, my first ever chameleon. She's a female veiled, and I've had her for less than 2 months now. Not sure how old she is, but she was bought pretty small from a pet store and has grown quite a bit since. Seeing as how I'm new to it all, I thought I'd throw up an excess...

My Jackson Cham's eyes wont open! (Help!)

I'm no expert but if you're chameleon is THAT unresponsive and that intent on keeping his eyes closed, I suggest you see the vet immediately. The internet is a great tool but you probably wouldn't google "how to stop someone from having a heart attack" and it should be no different with your...

    5 days of driving...

just thought i'd let everyone know bubbles made it to Newfoundland safe and sound. the whole shoe-box and wet towel worked great, the hardest thing was probably sneaking her into the hotels every night.
