Do you think a captive bred cham could survive if he is put back into his natural habitat? Like say he was kept as a "pet" for a few years and then released back to where they are found in the wild, could the cham survive? Just a thought?
It looks great! You could also add some corner shelves in it for the cham to sit on or to place a dripper on, etc. I wish I had added corner shelves in mine...
You said you made a waterfall? Could you explain this a little more... Is it from a dripper? Because waterfalls are not a good idea because of bacteria. I use a drip system and I have it drip down the plants into a cup and then dump the cup out when it's down and start all over again. Also...
Also, would the pump in the water container need to be set up above the cham cage? or could it sit lower? and the tubing you bought, did it come with that nozzle?
Would the pump burn up if the water container completely ran out before you could refill it?

And no I do not have a drainage system. I set the dripper up high and let it drip down his plants into a screened cup to catch the water, I just dump the water out when the dripper runs out and start all over, it works out pretty well. but ya a proper drainage system would be better... I'm...
Ok, well looks like I'll be packing Leonard up with me! Which is not a big deal, I just didn't want the added stress on him ya know... but if you all think he can't go that long without water then I'll take him. I definately would not want to risk it and he is about 8 to 9 months old. I have...
the lights are on a timer, so all that is good, and I do not have anyone that I "trust" to watch him...
I will take him with me if everyone on here thinks that is too long to go without water, I just didn't want to stress him out again from moving him to a different enclosure for a few days...?
to leave my veiled cham at home for 3 days? I just recently took him home (2 weeks ago) with me since I was gone a week, but this time it will only be for 3 whole days he will be left alone. I don't want to take him bc of stress yet I have a portable cage and don't mind packing him up but I'd...
of this type of chameleon? This might be a stupid question but I've tried googling and can't seem to find what I am looking for. They look like a Jackson's chameleon and they have what looks like a fin that comes off their tale?
