I love these kinds of stories (i.e., the ones with happy endings).
I too lost my lil guy for about a day. Again, no bottom on the cage but a make shift screen contraption. He must have been eyeing it and when we went to work he made a break for it. He managed to scale down a stucco wall...
You say you use "exoterra undertank heat pad" and a "tub with a lid." Do you worry about overheating the plastic or fire hazard or are you using glass tank and not a rubbermaid storage tub?
Your math is off. Unless you live on another planet. ;)
Did you know the human circadian rhythm is based on a 25-hour day? It is reset everyday with exposure to light/sun.
I have found some playing dead laying upside down with legs in the air. Then to find them alive when I poke 'em they run away. It's rather funny. So, just make sure they really are dead.
I find these little guys so smart. It is actually becoming harder to use as a feeder because I am...
You mean pics of conventions like the one posted on this thread? Looks like a lot of fun! LOL https://www.chameleonforums.com/bluebeast-reptile-anaheim-trip-5811/

Yes, it has screened sides. This was discussed a while back, but a few people reported their cham's had eye problems after putting them in the new aluminum screen cage. I just wanted to remind people to give the cage a quick rinse before using these new cages, just to be on the safe side.
Sorry, I didn't see the original thread because I was preparing to travel for the holiday and did not keep up on my reading.
I now read through it and the underlying message is the same. Releasing into the wild is a BAD idea. Thanks, Chris!
I imagine releasing chams into the wild would not be a good thing. It has been a real problem in Florida with people relasing iguanas and them thriving in the wild. Now releasing iguanas into the wild in Florida is illegal.
Speaking of the topic, did you see that the cold weather is...
Maybe you could do a color test and show your cham objects of different colors to see how he reacts to them? Then purchase the plant with the same color you get the best response to. It is a bit drastic but hey, people seem to go to great lengths to please their chams on this forum.
