So when I first got my chameleon, I thought, "Hey, I'm going to build her a chameleon paradise." Yeah. That didn't work. I'm not even going to go into any details about how horribly I failed, so I'm just going to leave it as I didn't know what I was doing.
Anyway, I am going out to Lowe's...
I agree, I would take him to the vet as soon as you can. It seems that the problem is getting worse, and you need to do it now before your chameleon is on death's door. You will be happy that you did, trust me.
I got her at the end of November, so it has been about 7 months now. Wow, it really doesn't seem like it has been that long. She has come a long way since the first time I saw her.
Okay, I literally just saw her poop again, and it looked like clear gel. What does this mean? I have only had her for a few days, did I do this? After she pooped, she went back to her long and started licking herself. I'm starting to get really worried.
Hey so I might already have a problem. I think that my leo pooed, but it's liquid, and I think that it has sand in it. I know this is really really bad, but is there anything I could do before a vet visit, or is it off to the vet for this gal already?
(I hate Petco)
Thanks for identifying her for me. I thought that it was a girl, but I am obviously very inexperienced, so I didn't know for sure.
After looking at your setup, reptilover, mine is horrible. I definitely need to get some more stuff for my little girl to climb on. I have a frillion things like...
Here ya go. Sorry it took so long. I wasn't able to get that many pictures. There is something wrong with my camera, so I had to take these with my cell phone. I hope that they are good enough :)
This helped out very much. I will get the sand out of there tomorrow. I have never used a heating pad before. Will it mess up my table the tank is sitting on? I have the Repashy Leopard Gecko calcium powder. Is that good to put in the bowl? Should I dust the crickets if I just put the calcium in...
For my setup, I had several conflicting suggestions for substrate. I bought the reptile carpet thinking that it would be fine, but my friend that has a few leos of her own said that as babies, sometimes their teeth can get stuck in the carpet. I ended up buying the calcium sand, and that is what...
On a whim, I ended up buying a leopard gecko yesterday. I have her all set up in her cage... at least I think that it's a girl. If I post pictures, would anyone be able to help me figure it out? I named her Foxy Cleopatra, so I need to change that if it is a guy.
Anyway, is there anything...
Thanks everyone!
She really seemed to enjoy it there! I would sit her cage out of the deck on the days that it wasn't too hot, and she would climb to the top and paw at the top, so then I would get her out and read with her on my shoulder, and she would always climb and sit on top of my head...
Hello everyone!
I just got back from my vacation, and I wanted to share the pictures that I took of Jo down there. Unfortunately, somehow most of them got deleted. Mainly the ones of her out on the deck with with looking out over the ocean. The only ones that I have now are of the trip down...
That's great news! I was worried that it might be bad for her to only eat them. I can't get her to eat any other kind of fruit or plant besides bananas, and those give her a bit of trouble. How much does your cham usually eat of the flower?
Hello,
I recently feed my veiled chameleon hibiscus and she loved it. I am going on vacation for a week and I was wondering if she would be fine eating hibiscus flowers during that time. I could dust the flowers lightly with calcium if I have to, but I just thought it would be easier than...
I'm going against the stereotype as well. I'm an actor/writer, so I have to be a bit of a social butterfly. I like going out when I'm not busy as well :)
So my chameleon JoJo has been rubbing the sides of her face and eyes along anything in her cage. My first thought was that she was shedding, but she doesn't look like she needs to. Also, she has only shed once since I've had her, but I don't think she is going to be able to get much bigger...
