    Thoughts on these melleri?

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the good thoughts. We have another one not looking so good this morning. I've been on the phone with my vet discussing care and whether we should do blood work. We have decided to hold off on the blood work as it is likely to not be conclusive. If Scooby...

    Hydration Systems

Full disclosure: Kevin and Renee from AquaZamp are friends of mine. Also, I have no experience with Mistking or Promist. I do have a Monsoon because I was given one but I have had a lot of issues with it and don't really recommend it. I met Kevin a few years ago when I was looking into buying a...

    establishing Meller's chameleons

Well, I'm in a rush to have melleri babies hatching ... unfortunately the melleri don't care what I want! We have several that we got when they were fairly young juveniles but as Olympia said, sometimes we have to get what is available. We are lucky to have a couple sources fairly local so we...

    water tray by LLL Reptile??

I don't think there would be enough room for drainage to stack them. I'm sure people have done something similar but I think the cages on the bottom would be too low and the ones on top would be too high.

    Macleay's Spectre Stick Insect

I like these shots. Very sharp. Do you have a tent? It really gives nice diffuse lighting - and contains the smaller critters! We also have a beauty dish on our light coming through the side which also helps diffuse the light. (photo below)

    melleri free range

We recently re-did our melleri free range. We added more plants, the larger rack and more misting nozzles. It wraps around our living room and isn't all visible in the photos but the main section is.

    Melleri

Mine will eat anything they can fit in their mouths ... literally. In addition to all the common feeders they love mantids, luna moths, silk moths, snails .... a few of them like to munch on leaves. Especially the dead brown ones.

    water tray by LLL Reptile??

I use those water trays. I have small holes drilled in the bottom of the cage and a hole drilled in the bottom of the water tray that drains into the buckets below. The cages are sitting on a wire rack. There is usually a curtain that goes around the bottom so the buckets are not seen and it...

    Happy Father's Day!!!
