Wanted to but our female was a bit of a dud and never laid, even after mating. Not really wanting to continue breeding panthers so likely won't get another female.
This is our Boris:
We don't have any for sale but anyone is welcome to come visit Sami and Frankie!
I have a few eggs that may or may not be good but we aren't specifically breeding oustalets. Frankie prefers a platonic relationship with Sami.
Olimpia is correct. I keep them like panthers. In fact my ousties share a large free range with a couple panthers.
I'm not sure on the lifespan as I've been keeping them a couple years but I would imagine it is similar or longer to panthers - larger species tend to have longer life spans...
I'm currently reading it - it's pretty interesting though can be a little dry and scholarly in places. Sometimes hard to read because of all the sources listed but overall a useful book for chameleon keepers interested in a better understanding of them.
We had a booth at Repticon LA this weekend and in addition to selling chameleons we brought some of our "chambassadors" to meet and greet and help educate the public.
This video is our large male oustalets eating a worm. I did not take the video but I have the permission of the videographer...
I saw them! They are adorable!
I also got one of Driskel's offspring. A pretty little girl to mate with one of my young males in the future. As soon as I saw a photo of him I knew I had to have one - and really, photos do him no justice. He is stunning!
I have two males available at this time. They are pictured as is the sire (Elwood).
They hatched late April 2013. Both are eating and drinking well. $250 each plus shipping.
Feel free to PM me or email [email protected]
Thank you. They are special and I hate losing them!
Yes, the melleri all free range together. My other chams are separate from them but not that separate - they all breathe the same air, eat feeders from the same sources and gutloaded with the same stuff. I get all the plants from the same...
