I own both the lllreptile cage and the DIY cage. The DIY cage came in with with waves and wrinkles all over the screen, I don't know if the clips are removable without ruining them so I can't tighten up the screen. I didn't have the time to try and sort it out because I had a Cham coming in so I...
That's actually not as bad as my local petsmart. Here was the scene there.
At one point they had an employee that knew what they were doing and had a veiled in the back (so he wouldn't get stressed from all the people) in a screen cage with proper lights. That person must not work their...
From your pics it looks like you have "L" brackets at all your corners. If that is all you have keeping your enclosure together then that is why it wabbles. In this case wood glue is your friend and will be much stronger than those brackets. Also the wood looks raw in those pics, if it is you...
Thanks everyone, he really is great. Even my oldest daughter who really does care too much for our chams is interested in him.
Thanks. Its some plastic garden fencing that comes in a roll, I picked it up at Home Depot. I just used wire to tie it to the screen.
I ran butternut squash, carrots, sweet potato, apple, orange, and collard greens through the blender and put it into icecube trays and froze them. So far it really working out great since a lot of the stuff I bought would go bad before I got the chance to use it all. The crickets seem to like it...
Yeah he shipped really well. Those first shots are just 5 min out of the bag! I can't wait to see when he really wants to show off. I don't want to bother him to much though and just give him some space for now. I was really happy when he ate and drank, I was a little worried it might take him a...
By the way, these pics do him no justice. I just couldn't capture his true color (which just awesome) with my iPhone. I'll give him a few days to settle in before I assault him with the huge lens on the dslr, I know some chams don't like it.
This guy came in today and he is just awesome, thanks Roger! We've been so excited for him to get here. He looks super healthy and is already eating and drinking. Very friendly too which is a change from my other two chams which are very moody. Enough talk, on to the pics!
First the...
I understand the temptation to "save" these guys from these store but it only condemns the next one the bring to replace the one that sold. It took everything in me not to bring one of these guys home the other day.
You can put the cardboard pet carrier in an insulated cooler for running to and from the car. That should be sufficient to keep the cold off him then once in the car just remove the box from the cooler.
From the first pic my guess would be a female but a better pic from the side with the tail strait out would be best to determine the sex. Also what sized crickets are you feeding?
Funny you that say that, ever since those pandora bracelets came out I've always kept a new bead for it hanging around just in case I needed it. ;)
Maybe but but she'd take me back eventually, if only for the Cham's sake, lol. And who knows maybe she'll see that they aren't so bad or maybe...
That's been my issue with dubias, the wife just won't have it and she feeds half the time. I've read that escapees can't survive or breed in the northern climates so no worries about infestations and as I understand they also can't climb so no worries with escaping a tall bin. I'm planing on...
By looking at their lineage it will give you an idea of what they can potentially look like but you will never get a whole clutch that looks like the sire, there will always be variations. Some juveniles show good color early on and some don't and the ones that don't can still look better than...
