    Sunday pictures of Oz

Oz is a beauty :) Oz is turning out to be a real macho looking dude. His Dad (Royden's Otto) could be very fiesty too. The Mom was a wild caught. I've still got a lot of Oz's siblings at my house. The males are all turning out to be high yellow with great patterns. The females are huge...

    baby panther always dark!

Cage too large? The cage dimensions you give are really big for a panther that age. It will be really hard for him to spend enough time in the range of the UVB rays. Could you post a picture of your cage set up that shows him in it? That Reptisun 5.0 will not provide enough UVB for a...

    My Young Ampikiana Panther.

Tropical names...... I like the tropical name idea....He looks very exotic. Where do you UK folks go for tropical vacations? Give his name some thought. He deserves a killer name :)

    digging digging digging.... sleeping?

Good Deal.... You will be less stressed the next time she lays eggs. Now that you know how long it takes you won't worry as much. I don't keep infertile eggs as they go bad within a month. Look at them for a few days and then chuck them. I don't think your story ended with a let down at...

    digging digging digging.... sleeping?

Sleeping normal......... Falling asleep at night is fairly normal. Just let her be and don't disturb her until she climbs out of the hole. Then you can give her a nice sink shower to get the dirt off of her and she can get a nice drink then too.

    Problems with shedding eyes

I'd stay with showers..... I would just stick with showers.....Chams don't have shed aids in nature. The eyes should normally shed completely. I use the Neosporin for occassional issues. If the eyes are an issue at every shed there may be an ongoing underlying issue.

    Nactus 2010!

Good Luck Royden! I just voted....tried it yesterday and kept getting error messages. Good luck Royden! It's an honor to have Dino (Chamaeleo Trioceros Laterispinis) and Calypso (Kinyongia Uthmoelleri) in the contest. Calypso just did a full body shed yesterday and looks very buff :p

    vine chewing?

Chewing........ Young Panther and Veiled chams seem to enjoy chewing. I've seen them chew vines, branches and large rocks. I think it's a combination of curiosity, boredom and hunger. It seems to happen after the feeder insects are all gone. The activity also seems to stop when they become...

    Problems with shedding eyes

My method........ I put a little Neosporin on a Q-tip and carefully moisten the eye turret area with it. Don't rub a lot. Be gentle. After a day or two you can repeat this process and the skin should slip off the eye turret. Don't get the Neosporin in the eye.....

    UPS Finally Arrived!!!!

LOL.....I traded my first husband for some reptiles ages ago. He refused to let me have a single one and tried to kill off the frogs in the pond I built. So much for that! My second husband has let me take over multiple rooms with my collection and now pays for their food and vet bills so I...
