I bought him a new UVB 5.0 Compact, and lots of Superworms...
I did a rescue from a local pet store as well were he had very little room to move. What I suggest and what worked for me was keep him/her in a small 12 in x 12 in x 12 in screen cage with a few sticks and small plants so he will move and build muscle back (once the muscles are strong transfer...

A female veiled should usually be a shade of green with some spots. If her defecates are orange that means she is either VERY dehydrated most likely be due to dehydration. Or she is sick and defecates are orange because of diarrhea and her not drinking and her grey color. Chameleons dont like to...
I was taking a plant out of my chameleons cage when he slipped and fell off a branch:eek:! He caught onto a near by plant then fell and hit the wooden bottom about 1-2 feet off the ground! I picked him up and inspected his bones and legs. All his legs and bones are straight and he climbed up my...
I have already had checked and researched all the plants to make sure they are safe. Is my setup Ok for a veiled chameleon (Pics Below)? And I will be changing the wiring to vinyl coated wire instead of what I am using now
My veiled has been on a staple diet of crickets since I got him. I would ussually feed 10-15 Crickets a day 1-2 Superworms a day and 1-2 hormworms a week. Now he will still eat supers and horn worms but he refuses crickets... what should I do?
In one of my recent posts "Lovereps" gently reminded me not to use galvanized mesh for my chameleons cage because it causes Zinc poisoning in reptiles and birds. I tried doing research but I came up empty handed. Can anyone verify this claim? Any input would be appriciated :D:D
I've been feeding my 5 month old veiled chameleon crickets, superworms, and hornworms. I notice he eats a lot of the plants in his cage so I wanted to know what other fruits/veggies I could feed him. So can I feed him any of these: Mango, Apple, Banana, Grape, Grapefruit, Bell Pepper, Cucumber...
when my chameleon was constantly blinking his eye, I dropped a few drops of antibacterial saline and it stopped the blinking:). Maybe you should try this with your cham.
Also when you hit him by accident, its may have hurt more than you think.
Think of it like this: Theoretically, your cham...
