    Misting chams? This okay?

I in no way want to discourage you from inquiring about your cham or chams in general but the "search" tool is EXTREMELY useful.... and even more poignant here is misting is one of the MOST basic, well known and implemented ways of keeping humidity/hydration up... how are you asking if its ok...

Hi New To The Chameleon Forums

calm down summoner I was referring to the single light he had being both for uvb and uva, I know he is aware of needing a bulb for heat so I was saying the extra UVA ALONG with the UVB was not necessary....

    GardenPlus hand sprayer???????

HAHA, for real, I would at least be happy if they could put the warning somewhere visible and brightly colored instead of on the bottom... pretty sure if I saw a flaming warning logo with the word cancer or birth defect I would not purchase the product lol

    GardenPlus hand sprayer???????

yeh its a plastic sprayer works pretty well but theres definitely an odd smell with it and its never been used for anything but water, I never knew it was possible for a cancer causing agent or something that would cause birth defects to be active in a finished product AND to be passed just...

    H e l p ! ! ! !

PetLand is easily the worst pet store I have walked into, I went in there once and they had a "jacksons chameleon" for sale which was actually a veiled, no UVB, no heat lamp, the highest climbing area was under 6" tall, and just a water dish. When I alerted the manager of the problem she...

    Is a Spathiphyllum safe?

on wikipedia it says they are mildly toxic to humans and animals when ingested and also that it is watered every week and a half so it might also get too much water in a chams cage

Those temps are too high basking should be no higher than 90 and preferably closer to 85 with an ambient temp in the mid to high 70's, make sure to read the link provided about raising kitty. Also, you only need a linear UVB light, and a regular 60-75 watt bulb for heat and have it on a timer...

"reveal" light bulbs or frosted ones?

Yeah for a heat lamp, i was thinking that since it is a clear bulb if a cham looked at it long enough the bright filament could be damaging on the eyes? Other than that the temp would work and the light given off is really clear.

    I Don't Cook

be careful with fish food as gut load, some members have had problems with swelling in chams limbs or gout and fish food has been a suspected cause. Do some searching just to be sure

My 2nd cham, 2.5 mo. old carpet girl from Ryan, thanks again!

Here's Pandora, settled in very well out of transport and was drinking the first day. The silkies came a day late so yesterday I dusted 15 small crix and put em in, she had been hangin out in the back getting used to everything but immediately her demeanor changed and she went right after the...

    Veiled Izzy not doing good

That is unbearable to look at, I would have never thought MBD could get that severe. I hope whatever the outcome is his last moments are good enough to make up for what I'm sure has been a painful existence as of late. Good luck.
