thanks everyone, i got a few last night and tested the temps in a spare cage, glad i can i can use them Kevin- ive noticed that too i had a 100 watt for my bedroom and the light was alot less "clear" than the 60 watt

Yeah for a heat lamp, i was thinking that since it is a clear bulb if a cham looked at it long enough the bright filament could be damaging on the eyes? Other than that the temp would work and the light given off is really clear.

Im curious if there is info regarding GE Reveal light bulbs which produce a more natural light, any one use these or know if they are safe/sufficient to use? Thanks
