You shouldnt get rid of your crickets even if you have silks. They should be a main feeder or atleast roaches. I love bugs and crickets really do stink  If chams only knew how much love we have for them ..lol
I actually dont let the supers run free. They have a tendancy to hide in places my cham cant find. I cup feed him or hand feed. Well I dont hold the supers they like to nibbble the bastards ha
Its good for some of the feeders to roam free. It keeps the cham busy and it’s a great mental and physical exercise for them. You can keep half in the cup and half roaming.
Unfortunately there isnt a quick method. I dont remove everything, but what I did do is instead of using the shredder, I actualy cut long slabs so its easier to clean when theyre that small.
Patients is def the key. Just keep trying often and he will learn to trust you. It wont happen overnight. It might take months, but dont lose faith. I can put a worm on my shoulder and he will snap it up ha Good luck!
Its crazyyy. I actually stayed at a hotel in Costa Rica where the theme was chameleon and they had that in the dinning area. The lights changed colors every few hours

I def would recommend to use the YARDGARD Poultry Netting in green from Home Depot or Lowes on the inside of your cages. You can staple them or zip tie. It really is great on their nails and comfy for the climbing. I used screen on the outside so no insects can escape.
It is cover with river rocks and I also covered all the other plants as well, but he just moves them..lol Thankfully I used all natural dirt with no pestisides. He eats all his food, so you would think he wouldnt eat it, but I guess he loves the dirt - Maybe its flavored..lol
He loveesss it! It’s exactly like a fun house for chameleons-) I actually went back and forth with the drainage and that’s what actually took me the longest to finish. We ended up using tarp so nothing would go through to the wood. I put Styrofoam on all corners under the tarp to have the water...
