Don't feed him for a few days and then introduce some crickets. He will eventually eat them. He will be holding out for the worms so it's important that you stand your ground and don't give in!
Fascinating.
On the footage from Life in Cold Blood (with David Attenborough) the camera zooms up close to a chameleons eye and their pupil seems to contract and expand fairly quick which suggests to me that they could possibly zoom in?
If they can, these animals just get better...
Interesting.
There is no doubt in my mind that the way you treat/raise your chams has an affect on their personality. I suppose that goes for any animal or even person.
The fact all of their babies were friendly puts doubt over the "pot luck" theory. If it was pot luck, then surely there would...
I would still recommend posting a picture. Things may look fine to you, but to a neutral viewer or more experienced keeper they may be able to spot something less obvious to yourself.
I've always wondered whether there is any genetic link with regards to personality/aggression.
Its always been a curiosity of mine that if you took 2 extremely placid soft natured chams (male & female) and bred them, whether the hatched clutch would have a high rate of the same temperament...
Hi. I am not sure if you are aware but the arm looks a little curved which could mean your Cham has MBD.
It could just be the picture, perhaps someone else could give their opinion on it.
You guys that live in the warmer parts of the world are extremely lucky. I really envy you all. My chams would turn to ice if I took them outside this time of year!
I'm not sure about being able to feed certain things to enhance colour. However, I would say the healthier the more colourful. As long as you are feeding well gutloaded and correctly supplemented feeders then this should help. The Repashy Calcium Plus all in one supplement has had good reviews...
Chameleons do this sometimes. Its nothing to worry about as long as its not large amounts and that the soil doesnt contain anything harmful. Organic soil should be OK. I believe the main concerns is that it could cause impaction. I also believe the reasons for them doing it could be either a...
Thanks. I was hoping for a reply like this.
The skin does look completely in tact when you examine closely so perhaps this is just colouring as you say.
I will be keeping my eye on it anyway.
It would be helpful if anyone can post some pics of their Veileds with their dark marks on their...
