Chams and Their Colors...What do they mean?

Thanks Thank you Rocky for that informative peice. My cham is between 2 to 3 months old and has been showing off his colors and patterns lately in addition to bulking up when ever I wake him or come home after several hours of being away. I am sure he is stressed in some manner but quickly...

    Eggcrate Dye

suggestion If I were you I would change your egg crates and cardboard elements frequently, like on a weekly basis. It gives bacteria and other micro organisms a perfect playground and breeding area. Your feeders can carry these harmful things to your chameleon's enclosure. Your best practice...

Chams and Their Colors...What do they mean?

I am fully aware that chams change their colors and different patterns appear given the situation and stress level. But what do the colors and patterns specifically mean? Are they sometimes happy or nervous and how can you really tell which to associate with? Hopefully this will answer some...

    October '08 Photo Contest

Where to Vote? Where do I vote? In here? Anywho... I really like Furcifer Pardalis (Nosy Be). The photo is in focus, colorful, has a sense of depth to it and actually kind of cute. The cham is gawking at the little figurine of a cham like "who the hell are you?"

    Oggie Is 1 Year Old

Biting Nice Cham! He does seem like a badass. I am raising a male 2 month old veiled. I have not yet been bitten by a reptile other than snakes. How are a veiled's bite strength? Should I be wearing a glove of some sorts when hand feeding or handeling him?

    Humidifiers: reg cold or ultrasonic?

Vicks Ya that Vicks humdifier is similar to the one I had bought. Its similar cause it has that round, 2 1/2 inch circular tube down the tub. Hey all of those who have this or a similar tube within their humidifier, do you guys find that the water that collects back in the tube causes a...

    Humidifiers: reg cold or ultrasonic?

ReliOn ReliOn Humidifer from Wal-mart. I bought this one for less than 30 bucks and hooked up a vacuum hose to the top of it. The hole that the mist leaves from is a 2 1/2 circular hole, perfect for a vacuum hose end. The cool mist exits and goes up the hose and down into the enclosure...

    New feeder friday !

worms I recently bought wax worms from Petco or petsmart, I cant remember. It says to store them at 45 - 55 degrees. So I placed them in the fridge for a night. Then I took them out and left'em by my enclosure overnight by accident. Do you think they are still good? Some look dead

    Questions of a new enclosure

Awesome I like the design. I had another idea for letting water run through the base, but your idea seems more ideal. The cement tub, how did you form it into a funnel type bottom? Or can you buy them like that with a hole in it already?
