I will say, another member PMed me about CPs that have more relaxed light requirements, I am going to look into this tomorrow evening, I'll let you know what I find out.

If the window is very bright I would look at tropicals and subtropicals. Drosera capensis is hard to beat and a first CP. They are very robust, tolerant of less than ideal conditions, they show notocable signs of stress so you can act on them but they tend to bounce back from problems very well...

I get mine out everyday, unless he really fights me on it.
