    My new Veiled

Enjoy your little buddy. Your enclosure looks well built. The backside faux rock wall appears to be rather large, how did you come by it and what is it's composition?

    Any advice on handling?

This is very true. I've had mine for three months and he was always very nervous at the mear sight of me. Hand feeding got him used to my presence.:) The real difference has been free ranging. I supply a vine from his cage to a tree and potted plant, some basking sticks in the window. I...

    A few pics of Caesar

Sorry to respond late, out of town. :o Thanks for your comments, and a little insight to his color pattern. I tend to agree with your "teenage phase" guess, his eating patterns have changed substantially, less and feeder "strikes". Light handling to get him off his free range after a...

Who runs more then 1 nozzle per cage for misting?

I use 3 placed left, right, center and rear in my 50"X20"X54" (see profile album for pic) to provide lateral coverage with minor overlap. It will really depend on how close your foliage is to the misters. And whether you're going for humidity or drinking water. Humidity....away from the plants...

Picky eating - he no like Crickets.......

David, it seems we have chams from the same clutch. :-) In addition to crickets I've offered butterworms, waxworms, reptiworms, and hornworms all of which he ate before this food strike. I visited a local reptile expo, made contact with a local dubia breeder and picked up a small cup of 25-40...

Picky eating - he no like Crickets.......

Glad to see this thread, mine (5 1/2 to 6 months) has recently decided to stop eating crickets as well. It started about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks ago when his colors really started to come in. His mood and attitude have changed markedly and spends more time testing his enclosures boundries than...

Chameleon ESCAPED AND LOST! Help PLEASE!

First of all there has been alot of movement in there and he's not in his home, he's gonna be very nervous I'd imagine. As many have suggested removing items from your room until you locate the little guy might be the way to go now. Remember he most likely will not be "hiding" behind...

Chameleon ESCAPED AND LOST! Help PLEASE!

If you have a window...place a plant in the window, open fully blinds or curtains, be sure there is a way for him to climb up to the plant, food in a highly visable place helps, and keep the door closed to contain him in one room. Edit...I just watched your video....Try turning out all the...

My boy is growing so fast.

Thanks! I don't get to see them that much. He won't let me handle him to take him outside. This was the first time he went neon on me. Honestly, I was worried at first. This being my first cham I didn't realize that day-glo was a color on the palette for them. I thought, boy is he...

My boy is growing so fast.

Thank you. I wish I knew for sure. I got him listed as junvenile from the local pet store. So plus the two months I've had him, maybe 5 1/2 or 6 months. The locusts were prolific this hot summer, so he's been fed a healthy varied diet.

My boy is growing so fast.

Just a few recent pics as my boy Caesar's colors are coming in. I'm so proud of him. :D Feelin' a little "Puffy"! Clearly escape is exciting! Just chillin'. It's hard to believe he was the size of my thumb 8 1/2 weeks ago. See my album for full pictorial.

    flies and gnats?

As for the gnats in your room, cider vinegar left in a glass will attract them, then they drown. I'd close the door and change the vinegar daily.
