Yep... Thats what I was thinking... I don't even have my panthers home yet and I'm already wanting to get a trio of veileds... but I think i'll wait about 3 months and then if it feels right I will ... But I can still start building some baby cages :D
Well.... I finally found some free time (& energy) to dedicate to finishing my 3 cages..since i'm ordering the misting system this tuesday I figured I should have them ready for when it gets here so I can be running everything a good week or 2 before my Chams come home.. I actually built 2...
Thanks Jann! I definetly used both of those links when reading everything I could find.. Very well put together .. and very helpful... :D
I'm getting anxious to bring these little ones home .. today more than other days.. as my kids are on vacation with Grandpa and I have nothing to occupy...
Well.. I'm incredibly sorry to hear this.... My Veiled that passed a few years ago , started falling toward the end of his 7th year. It was heartbreaking. After Countless Vet visits and bills...It got to the point where he would fall 10-12 times a day...I would find him at the bottom...
Yeah .. Prices arent too bad.. just gotta search a little... allthough.. I can tell ya right now .. I'm positive the brown paper is cheaper:D ... I ended up getting away from it and using the black handi foam covered in Coco fiber.. looks good in the vivs..
You can order online... but I typically find all of my Viv materials or most at least at Hydroponics shops... Leca Balls, Coco fiber , the rolls etc.. etc.. :)
Yes.. Dart Frogs are amazing animals... and to me just as beautiful as Chams...the patterns and colors are phenomonal... Sometimes my wife will wake up early to wander out in to the house and find me with my hiking headlamp on staring in to the tank.. ( she thinks i'm a huge nerd) and...
I'm a big fan of facebook... I moved a few states away from all of my family and its a great way for me to ignore them and not have to talk to them on the phone;) and still keep in touch with my friends....
And Sean... I completely understand what your saying... I'm from Voston and all the...
Dendroboard has a lot of good info... I've been keeping for a good few years ... I second what Marty said.. pre arrange a deal and pick up locally.. Or just find a few keepers or a local group and go that route. It will allow you to see other set ups and have a consistent source for...
Well... In the time since i've signed on here.. I've read , read , read.....and read some more.. :)
I instantly started looking for Cham keepers in the area and have got the chance to talk to a few who have been really helpful...
I also started looking for Chams closer to me as I prefer...
No matter how many Chams I see , in person or in pics im just allways fascinated every time.. Amazing colors...Incredible animals... Thanks for sharing the pics... And the brown postal paper looks good... Looked like Coco-Fiber roll that i've used in some of my dart frog vivs... Nice idea..
You could easily make one w one trip to the hardware store. I've recently made a few out of screen and aluminum framing... you'll need a $8 saw and the materials. It's cheaper and they can be made to any size...
Excellent Photos!.. Thanks for sharing.....
and ... don't tell anyone... but i've got a *Gasp* mixed Viv as well.... But it's only been set up for 4 years.. so i'm sure there'll be problems any day now =0)
