Darn it! i want a Panther sooooo bad! im currently saving some money for the cage and eventually the Cham from Screameleons:cool: can't wait! should be ready this summer!
Hmmm. . .as far as wattages go im not too sure, but i'd say its okay to go w/out a heat source at night. The drop in temps help your cham get a good deep sleep, and unless it drops well below like in the 40's or 30's you should be okay if it drops a few degrees below 65F
Well your right and wrong in a way, there seems to be pretty strong evidence supporting the ReptiSun tube lights over all the others as in the guide that Ramsey gave the link to says. As far as ceramic heat elements go, you only need those if your in an area that allows your cage to drop below...
wow! that must have been pretty darn nerve racking! but im glad things turned out well for your cham!:D always good to see a good poop from your cham!:p
I wouldn't personnely (sp?) trust it. . .but thats just me. . .what makes this light appealing to you anyway? why not just get a more generally accepted liner florecent (wow i really can't spell sorry:o)
What type of Cham are you getting? What are your humidity levels? What is your proposed supplement schedule? What is your watering method? and Why a 10.0 and not a 5.0?<<<<<<---Not to sure why i asked this other than someone will prolly ask you.:D
I also would hesitate keeping the crickets...
Welcome to the forums, and i have to say that joining this forum is a good step in preventative maintenance and good health for your cham if you follow the excellent advice given here. I think someone should advise you on a supplement schedule.
Yay! today is a great day! i saw my cham (Trunks) just poo and he looked relieved! yesterday he had some rep-cal herptivite for the first time:( but he looks good and im happy.
:eek:wow! some luck indeed. . .well i won 20$ on a scratch off lottery ticket yesterday. does that count? anywho good luck w/ the eggs! cant wait to see some pics:D
Just so you know some people are using the pretty wide square wire cloths and just use a feeder cup. . .check Nygel's youtube vid on how to make one, and it seems to work just fine. . .hope this helps:D
Also you don't want to go too small on your screening because from i can tell/heard it can...
So the exo terra 10.o isn't good enough/ healthy for my cham? or for that matter, any exoterra product (tube style?) is this what is being said by the site and you?:(
 Nevermind about that? or was it due to the age of the cham?
ON a side note its interesting that you say your roommate, so who got who interested in Chams? or was it pure coincidence?
