I am so pleased that you fell in love with your little guy. He is a cutie. Seems like all my babies end up being chunky....LOL Must be all those gutloaded crickets they get.
I disagree with the comment that 10.0 can kill your cham. I definately would like to hear from our two vets to see if they counter what my very experienced herp vet tells me.
My herp vet recommends 10.0 because of the UVB output. If you have a meter you can see that a 10 puts out about 140 new where a 5.0 is about 50 new. The kicker is, if you measure outside light it goes up to about 450. I use them and my chamyfamy is happier.
If she even would eat it, pinky mice have more protein then you should be offering a cham, especially a gravid female. She will eat if she needs to. You don't have to try to tempt her into eating. I think you didn't receive good information.
I agree with you Carol. This is my feeder store and I am in there every week. The people are knowledgeable, caring and keep cages and facility clean. I support them highly and I await the autopsy results. I'm sure it will be posted all over the news, especially down here in S. Fla.
Thank you for being a faithful member of the forums. You have furthered many people's knowledge, including my own, on various topics and know when you disagree, it is in a kindly spirit.
Congratulations.
