Congrats on the beardie! Glad he's in good shape:)
My guy Sydney is a little over a year old and is a trip! He will not eat anything unless I hand fed him. He does drink from his bowl. He loves the garden mister! When I put it to a stream, he'll drink from it.
Kent67, Nice pics and cute torts....love the 2nd one:) Pics didn't show up for me yesterday??
PantherVeileD, Yay, Congrats!! Pics??
Well, Topaz says she hates AL along with me! She came out Thursday and it was nice and warm until Saturday which was VERY nice out. Sunday was raining and...
Yep, she's 4. I got her as a hatchling. The 1st 2 yrs, she lived indoors in a bookshelf that we laid on it's back. Her 2nd year, she hibernated in my attic with all my snakes.
Once she's clean, I'll have to get a pic of her b/c she's got nice yellows in her shell or atleast she did before. I...
He's only been moved in since yesterday. I have the light above where he's been hanging out the most. There's vines at different levels under the light.
It's a 5.0 bulb.
Congrats on yours too!!! Got any pics?
We had a rough winter this year with the most frozen days and snow that AL has seen in a long time. Not to mention the rain!! My half acre pond has been dry since I moved in 4 yrs ago and it's has about 8 feet in it. Her enclosure is dug down 2-4...
Today is a good day!!! My 4 yr old russian tort came out of hibernation. This was her 2nd winter outside since I moved and had room for a outside area.
I was out on the deck when I saw her moving and had to go check her out. As soon as I said her name "Topaz" she popped her head out:)
It...
I had reptile carpet at 1st when I had the rescued cham and it was gross. It really needed to be wash like every other day. Plus, the crickets would get under it and die. I ended up switching to paper towels with him until he passed. I didn't like them either.
When Rupert got here, I said I...
Thanks! I'm gonna hit Lowes this weekend b/c their safe plants are cheaper than Home Depot and also a closer road trip. He would have loved it if I made it much bigger b/c he LOVES my 16 yr old ficus tree. Since he was kind of cramped in the old emclosure, I'd let him out when I was home and he...
Finally it's done and he's one happy cham!!! It's 4 feet tall and 2.4 feet wide and deep. He's been all over it!
I got my drainage hooked up it and it works.....yippppeee. I drilled a hole a bit smaller than the hose and shove it thru then wrapped plumbers tape around it and twisted it back...
I don't have a panther but my veiled is 5 months old and he's gonna move into his new adult size enclosure this weekend. I've had him 3 months and his very 1st weight was 4 grams and yesterday he was 105g. His 1st one was 16x16x20 and he's quickly outgrown it.
I bought wood and a 25' roll of screen and made mine. It's 4' tall and 2' wide and 2' deep. Everything including hardware was around $60 at Home Depot.
It was somewhere on here I think where I read a good article about spiral bulbs can cause blindness in chams. I've been searching here and online trying to find it b/c I want to print it off and mail it to a reptile store that I thought was knowledgeable until I saw the bulbs. They recommend the...
All I have left is the doors and hooking up some hose for drainage.
While I running some vines after screening today my cat Bindi decided this was for her...haha
Thanks! He'll be even happier when he moves to his 4x4x2. I have to screen it and redo the door b/c I left everything in the kitchen and my cat knocked it over and laid on it.
