LOVE the knitting mesh idea, although I don't breed any insects. It's a great idea layering them with egg flats for how I can store my own insects.

Have you had issues with water getting in it? I read the vent hole should face down (away from water) and it might be OK.

What camera do you use to watch?

Did you put the tape over the screws holding the screens together or somehow go around the screws? They protrude slightly, so wondering how you arranged the tape on the edges of the screens.
