young ones stress easily. a 1 gallon tank is too small (typo?)... a 10 gallon tank for 2 of them that age were too small for my first 2 that i hatched. Bullying was an issue and i didnt realize that one was eating all the food until he was considerably bigger than his sibbling. the one who...
aww these pictures make me want to hatch more brevs again =P
i havnt had very much luck lately tho... hope these 3 i got left will make it
and hopefully one will be a girl this time; ive had way to many male hatchlings
i wouldnt say they do better in colonies... some guidelines to owning these guys that ive heard that seems to be working for me is 10gal/pygmy. 8gal doesnt seem to bad for one. U might be able to get away with a male and a female if ur lucky. What would be a neat little thing for a classroom...
you may still be able to find chams from a nonreputable breeder but there is that high chance of getting a neglected cham. I agree with Julirs that the majority of the time people do not know what they are doing with their new chameleons or how to provide for them. The best thing to do in my...
atleast ur little guy is getting down to business =P
my guy i would have had for a year tomorrow actually and im confident that any of the eggs ive had are not his... then again i guess i cant be to sure.
I think i bothered him to much... i put him back in his cage and he tried getting the stuff off for about 2 hrs longer then just konked out to sleep and woke up a bit later after lights out to try some more
I just wanted to share a pic of my 2month old baby brev taking a shed =P
i just thought this was a funny shot
hes having trouble grabbing on to things due to his shed
i just looked at the pictures again.... shes definately not doing well... i would say the first thing u need to do is get her some water, lots of it, if she even has the energy... then try getting her some food... From the pics i could guess that shes not in any condition to do either of the two...
i read somewhere that if they hang upside down in the cage like that its because its to cold and they wait for the light to come on in the morning to warm up
dunno if thats ur issue but its worht a try
it depends on the clutch and the babies themselves. From my clutches tehre has always been one considerably faster one. From my last clutch he got out id say within like 4 maybe 5 hours the whole process from sweating to walking around. I had class on most hatching occasions so i wasnt there...
i wondered that too and worried if it would effect the baby but ive seen others do it and recommend it just incase they flip or u need to do something with them like dry out what u keep them in. I havnt noticed anyhting wrong physically with the ones ive hatched, but then again i havnt ever not...
