True but he says in his post he wasn't watering for a few days to help dry the tank out. This isn't the proper care for a chameleon. They shouldnt go days without water in order to dry the tank out. That's the only reason I recommended a screen cage. I know glass is possible but It isn't...
Thoughts echoed, but unfortunately these word will probably fall on deaf ears. If they are the type of people you are describing they wouldn't read or understand what you are trying to say. That's why they are in the position they are in know...... It's unfair to the animals. :(
Yea there close I believe north Virginia vinnie is the man you can't go wrong buying from him. The guy is awesome and is wiling to help. I live In Delaware and just recently bought a chameleon through screameleons and vinnie was there for every question and problem.
He really should be in a screen cages. That would help you with the drying out. On to the dripper, all you really need is something that holds water, is clean, and has a pin hole in the bottom. Plastic solo cups seem to work the best. I would handle these issues immediately. The longer you wait...
I don't think it will bother him, just make sure he isn't getting fat and that you don't over supplement. At that age they are growing fast and wil pretty much eat what ever is available.
I don't think you are doing anything wrong. My panther didn't take horn worms at first now he loves them. I'd just offer at different times I'm sure sooner or later he'll start eating them. Then the hard thing will be getting him to eat crickets again. :)
I try to get my guys in the shower for a good ten minutes once a month ( if there are no problems). I also spray and us drip cups everyday just to ensure proper hydration.
I free range feed my panthers and they usually eat 10-12 crickets a day. I try to have food available at all times. I've heard of chameleons gettin "fat", but I personally haven't seen it in free range feeding. I guess all that chasing down crickets I kinda a workout. :D. I'll also switch it up...
