Thanks Debby, that's cool coming from a builder...
Just Joe (veil) I guess he's about 8 months old. Real pain in the butt if you know what I mean. Its for my son and that's what its all about. He helped with the build (ask him, he'll tell ya he built it and I just helped)
He's has these...
1) HD didn't have the black screen but Lowes did..ticked me off cause I had to pay cash instead of charging it on my wifes HD card;)
2) Yeah, I've read about the ice cubes, I guess I should tell Joe to stop drinking it. Its DI filtered cubes but you know how fast those cheap ice makes DI...
hey Justin,
1) Its black aluminum screen.
2) the enclosure is 48" tall x 48" wide x 24" deep..the stand is 24" tall
3) For now its going to be hand misting and ice cubes until I get a system from Jason. I just don't have to time to work on my own system. This way it gives my son...
My biggest fault is I tend to over do things and there's no exception here. I'm not sure about the dark stained trim between the enclosure and the stand. I think I should of went with a light stain and made the trim 2", what do you think?
Mark
hey all,
I'm about ready to start filling the new enclosure for my son's veil. I have a couple old rod iron plant stands laying around that I thought I used to elevate the ficus and schefflera. Just want to check in to make sure these ok to use, I was thinking I might wrap them in some florist...
Justin,
:) its an American V-twin, we don't use CC's ;) I think it works out around 1640 cc for a 100" engine. The one below is 113", I'll let you do the math :)
I work in a Coke lab, that's pretty much it, and true. My second sorce of income, or should I say outcome other then Reef tanks is building scooters like the one pictured below.
thanks bro, after doing a little more research I've found that there's a guy named Jason that has this HerpMist system that pretty much blows all the others away. It looks like a pretty sweet deal to me when you consider what's all included. I've wasted enough money over the past 25 years on...
This is kind of what I was looking to read. Got to figure its been tried before. Can you tell me what the problems is? I wonder if a peristalic pump would work better?
So you could run a small pump, say 300 gph through a line with dripper heads and have it return back to the reservoir. Set the pump on a timer to run maybe 10 minutes every few hours. You could control the drip rate by controlling the return pressure on the pump (after the drip nozzles) with a...
The pumps I have range from 300 gph to 4000 gph. I don't think GPH is what these nozzles need, I think its pressure. You have to figure the units sold at HD and Lowes run off a garden hose.
Having the nozzle come off would not be a good thing:)
Hey all,
I'm done building the new enclosure for my sons veil. I've read a lot about some of the misters your all are using but haven't seen any DYI units that use water pumps. I've always been into saltwater tanks, mainly reef tanks so I have a lot of pumps laying around as well as my own...
Wow, this is something I actually know about. The 250 watt 14KHQI bulb or double ended bulb is used for growing corals in a saltwater reef tank, something I've been doing for over 20 years. I agree with Electric, the 14K is great for coral color but might be a little too blue for what your...
Hi All,
My son was given a baby Veiled chameleon about 6 months ago. Its doing fine but has out grown his cage. My wife would like me to build the one linked below. I know that the 18" Reptisun 10.0 and 75 watt basking lamp wont work for the new inclosure. I have a couple 48" shop lights that...
