Chamelia Earhart. New Enclosure from DIYcages.com, biplane, and mysterious triangles.

Alright, Jay has been asking for some updates, and I recently did up the little girls new cage. I bought it from DIYcages.com Overall, I am totally satisfied with the cage, one of the latches arrived broken on arrival. Presumably from shipping. I talked to DIYcages on the next business day...

    very worried about eye

Everything back to normal now? More than likely she was just cleaning her eye out. You'll notice them doing this especially during misting. They usually do it for a few seconds then the eye goes back to normal. Gotta keep those eyeballs clean afterall! If she is doing something more than that...

    Eye problem - help needed

This link is very useful. It seems like you might be confused on some aspects with your husbandry, this guide is very useful. Chameleons maintain the cleanliness of their eyes with misting, which represents rain and dew that would normally be in their enviroment. In fact, this is the natural...

2x2x4 Screen Cage. Pyg Terrarium 18^3 Exo Terra. Socal pickup! Shipping maybe.

We are selling a couple cages. We were planning on expanding our chameleon family with our recent loss, but due to some health issues in the family we have decided to try to save money instead of spend it. The 2x2x4 LLL Screened cage was Chameleo's adult cage. It is black. The bottom PVC has...

    Linear Bulbs

Repti Sun 5.0 Linear or bust. If you don't have a UV meter, you are better off playing it safe with what is known to work. That is my logic at least.

What if you're a night owl/keep weird hours?

I don't. I also spend the majority of my time in the same room as the chameleon at night. During the day mine is outside, but at night I bring her into my computer room. Once it is bed time, I keep all the lights in the room off except for a couple monitors. If I need light for a minute...

    Youtube Introductory Clip

Sorry, the orignals get thrown out pretty fast. I was too lazy to save them during some computer cleanups. You can pull them off youtube and photobucket with this website, its pretty simple. http://keepvid.com/

    Question For Computer Gurus...

Alissa offers some sound advice. On AVG, and background programs. She is also correct on saving the file to the hard drive first before pulling it into a program. When you try to pull large data files such as movies through USB, it really bottlenecks, especially if a program is trying to...

    A few Q's

To simplify your wording, how much have you fed him over the week? Example: Monday - Two 1 inch crickets Tuesday - 2 Roaches Wed - Nothing Thursday - Food etc I can't tell by your odd sentence structure and the lack of information given, but he might be eating just fine. Overfeeding is a...

    Acting / Looking Different

Wouldn't sand in the cage cause drainage problems down the line? Not to mention substrate/impaction issues? How deep is that sand? Doesn't look like much depth to work with. What was wrong with just putting a laying bin in there? That is what I do. The advice given to you above was pretty...

    Pack of Panthers

Awesome stuff Ryan. They sure are cute. Add another 30+ to the wild animal park. You should get Richard Kiley to narrate your park, spare no expense.

    Chameleon eye swollen badly...

Have you tested it yourself with a UV meter? Like I said, I'd rather not take the risk just to save like 5 more dollars on a bulb that needs to be replaced every 6 months. I am not one to experiment on my reptiles, I'd rather go for what is known to work than using what I think works, with my...

    Chameleon eye swollen badly...

Chinese whispers? Never heard that term, but if it means reliable sources backed by numbers and previous cases, then you my friend, would be correct. http://www.uvguide.co.uk/phototherapyphosphor.htm Check this link before making assumptions with lighting. Lighting is VERY important, and...

Searching for the August SBCK Meeting Place Location

29-30th is better for Kayleigh and I, she will be busy on the other date, but I will make it to the next meeting regardless. It has been a while. I hope we can find a location. If we can keep it more on the LA side of town than the valley, that would really be awesome. Anyways, I think a...
