Thanks for all the feedback its all really quite informative.:) I'm curious though what exactly would be the correct amount of uvb exposure for a cham? Is there a basic amount that one could use, and adjust, as I'm sure it must differ among the species.

This gap that hes talking about does your cage have it also? And I'm curious about the bottom what is it exactly is it only pvc? or is it mesh as well?

Sambava and ambilobe etc are all different locals of furcifer paradalis. The difference between locales is their coloration and patterns. I've even heard some talk of differences in certain physical attributes between locales. It's an interesting topic if you have time to dabble and research but...

Oops sorry my misunderstanding :o. I use a large bucket with the cover almost completely cut out except for the edges and some metal screen hot glued to the inner part with some scotch tape on top of the glue parts to prevent it from falling in and possible being eaten. Again tons of ventilation...

I agree with Pure you should keep your crickets and other feeders inside, personally I'd suggest to do this always no matter the weather or season, others might disagree, whatever works for you. I suggest this because I find that generally outside temps fluctuate and are simply to unpredictable...

To my understanding its more or less the exact same thing :)simply with a fancy name on it. I dont know any nurseries around here that carry that sort of thing do you think home depot or perhaps lowes might? otherwise I'll go with the eco earth though I'd rather save some money.:o

Excellent job! This actually works out great I have 100lb of fine grain play sand that I initially bought for my geckos:rolleyes: now I can put it to good use.:) I'm wondering would zoo med eco earth work or would i have to find a different source of coconut husk and if so what kind?
